About a month ago someone on here went to the doc to have a skin cancer removed. I posted I would make an appointment because of her post. Who was it? Does anyone know? I did a search but can't find it. TIA

Well I went today and I have it on my face. Had the biopsy done and go back next Fri to get the stitch taken out and find out what kind of cancer it is. Then the doc will operate. Just wanted to find out what the OP went through. What to expect.

That was me Janelle. I'm so glad you made your appointment and went too!! I made mine after my SIL told me that my brother had some he needed checked.

Did he say for sure yours was cancer? My doctor said mine looked cancerous but I had to wait for my biopsy results. When they came in, it showed that mine was pre-cancerous. He said it had been fully removed for the biopsy and that it was gone and couldn't come back to the same place and for me to not worry about it.

I hope thats yours goes that way too and that its not cancer. Hopefully you caught it in time, like I did mine. Please keep me updated, I'd like to know how things go for you. :hug

My hubby has melanoma. He needs to go every 6 months for a visual scan to make sure nothing is changed/changing. If I or he sees something he is in the doctors and getting it removed. Skin cancer is not just a one time, one shot thing. It is a cancer that will be with you for life. Not trying to scare you but by being iinformed you can stay on top of it before it gets worse.

My nana who passed away several years ago had some spots removed from her face. The doctor said that it was caused by the sun. My nana loved to be outside and she never wore a hat or used sunblock.

Thank you Tasha. You gave me the push to make that appointment.

All the doc said was "that is cancer." Maybe she was not very diplomatic. And yes I also have a brother who needs to be checked every six months. It's right by my eye so hope she got it all with the biopsy.

I'll post what I find out when I know. Huggs to you and I am so glad yours is gone.
