I think that's what kind of a dog Toto was. Also Mr. Wilson's (the old Dennis the Menace shows from the 50's) dog Freemont was a cairn terrier. I don't know much about them but they are cute dogs. I don't think they get too big.

http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/cairnterrier.htm here's some really great info. You should try to search for a cairn terrier forum, they would have more info then you would need! :lol They are cute. :D

they are really cute, but remember terriers are hunting dogs and need lots of activity, (think Jack Russell).

Kids are great help with that.. lol. Get them running around together and they BOTH get worn out. We have a West Highland White Terrier.

can I borrow your kids for awhile? :lol I have a few dogs that need to be worn out LOL it's been real hard on them since it's gotten cold and we don't go to the dog parks as it is, Bella's biting at me b/c she's bored... :slap

A Cairn definitely needs a purpose in life. They are normally very intelligent and have an attitude...lol. I would love to have a Cairn, but I just don't have the time or energy for one and I figure it wouldn't be fair to them. It is bad enough living with a Yorkie...lol.
