Computer help needed

on my laptop i have some kind of virus that keeps freezing it.... after like 3 minutes the pointer wont move and it is frozen where ever it stopped.. so i ran a system scan and somehow it restored itself but the problem is the computer wont stay unfrozen long enough to complete the install.... what do i do now?

Try booting up in safe mode and doing it from there.

well i called the computer company and they have to send me a new windows disk.......... the hard drive needs reformatted and windows is gone.....

yea everything..... good thing i dont keep much in the laptop.... i mainly use the desktop so all my pics and music are in this one
