We keep it at 72. Growing up DH had to cut the wood to keep warm so he greatly enjoys just being able to turn up the temp.

However warm our woodstove gets the house, usually in the mid 60s. When we used propane we usually had it set at either 60 or 62. We are in an old farm house that needs to be insulated!

65... I agree w/ your hubby, I would stay sick constantly if my hubby tried to keep it that warm. He gets his way in the summer w/ it set on 76... ugh.

I *think* it's about 69*. I'm not sure since hubby has duct taped it so I can't lower it. I still get him, though, I just turn it off. He just loves getting up in the middle of the night and then waking me to say "the damn house is 54 degrees. You forgot to turn the heater back on!!" Nope, not me, I never turn it back on, I just snuggle in deeper.

What heat?

That's what I'm sayin! I should go turn the heat on, I really should. It's cold in here. My husband and son are on the couch wrapped up in a comforter watching A movie. My daughter is curled up on the loveseat with a quilt.
I'm sitting here in a jogging suit and my fleece lined slippers.

I'm trying to save money on the electric bill. I may have to give up in a few minutes and turn on some heat. My fingers are frozen and just about too stiff to type.

I actually meant it, what heat?...lol. At the end of last winter our boiler went out and we haven't gotten it fixed yet. We "splurged" and bought a couple of space heaters, but that is not near enough for this big a house. Getting up in the mornings is like the "good ole" days when we got up and the house didn't get warm until the wood stove got started.
