My husband takes the driving test this Tuesday to get his CDL license. He is nervous about the alley docking. Sometimes he's really good at it and sometimes not. He has to do it good or he doesn't pass and get his license. It seems like alley docking is what a lot of the people there are having trouble with. They have to take the test again because of it. I really want him to get it right the first time so he can get the license and start working. I would appreciate any prayers or well wishes that he will do everything right and get his license. Thanks in advance.

I will pray for your husband and your family. My dad was a truck driver for 22 years. I am sure your husband will do just fine on the test. Please let me know how it turns out.

My darling husband has been a Trucker for 20 years. He says it is all in the set-up. Good luck and be careful as to who you work for. There are some really bad companies out there!

He didn't pass but he got another appointment to take it again tommorrow. But if he doesn't pass it then they said the next date he can take it will be in January. Thats not good at all. I wish they didn't have alley docking on the test thats what he's having the most problems with.

I am almost afraid to ask...but..did he pass?

11-29-2007, 02:44 PM
No but he's not giving up. The instructor at the school said he was going to work his butt off till he learns to alley dock. If he could just get the alley dockng he would have had his license a couple of months ago. They said his driving and everything else was really good. So he's just going to have to keep trying till he learns it.

I am so sorry. I will still keep him in my prayers.

Bless his heart. I am sure he is disappointed but how good he isn't giving up. I can't imagine have to drive one of those in a straight line, let alone something fancy, yah know. Good luck to him in January.

God bless him, son in law had to do the alley thing twice before he pass. He said he knew it was just a few inches on each side of him, Our truckers have a hard job. And the ones that are independents , well I don't know how they make it.
