I usually love having my teeth cleaned. But this time I almost passed out 4 times. I had to keep having her stop so I could sit up. My vision would go to a tunnel then all black and white spots. it was creapy I have never had that happen. The only thing I can figure is they had me reclined and being 35 weeks pregnant I always lay on my side, so maybe it was the position?

Aren't you usually reclined when they clean your teeth? Was it because you felt like you were gagging?

Yes I was reclined, but I had no gagging feeling. I just can't figure it out. I would just get that tunnel vision and then her voice would get all muffled and I knew I was gonna pass out. Hope its cause of the pregnancy otherwise my husband will have to start dragging me to the dentist!

Thats exactly what I was thinking too! I would do like Mary_Jo said and call your doctor. You may need to go in and let them check you out.

My B/p is fine, ran about 106/67 today which is normal for me. I have been fine since the cleaning. I have a doctor appointment on Monday. If I have any more problems this weekend I will call, but I hate to disturb the doc on his weekend if I don't need to. Plus they will send me to Er as the office is closed on the weekend.
Just wish I knew what caused it.
Sounds to me like your back is out, well, your neck. I could 'create' a dizzy spell by holding my head far back, and then hard right...lol, but, I finally went to my Chiropractor Wednesday, and, he took care of it. (had my second visit today)
You could very well have a piched nerve in your neck.

My husband's BP is fine too...until he reclines, gets in an elevator or tries to get up too fast. Definitely go to your doc. You may need a tilt table test.

I know some people need Novocain for a simple cleaning. Did your dentist give you shots of Novocain or anything else? I know to much of something will cause a person to have those symptoms.

During my last pregnancy, I used to do the same thing, if I laid on my back. Doc said it was normal as all the weight your carrying shifts around. I had to have a echo-cardigram done at about 6 months along and had to keep stopping the girl doing it cause I thought I was gonna pass out. Then again I also gained 80 lbs with the last one and no matter what I felt like I was gonna pass out lol
