View Full Version : Wish me luck everyone-a job opened up at the school that I want.

I applied to work at my daughters school in the cafeteria about 3 weeks ago but was told there were no openings there. They said they had an opening at another school 40 mins away but I told her I really wanted a position at the school in my town cause it's very close(3mins away).
I asked her to keep me in mind in case an opening happened. Well I had a message on my cell phone today saying a position just opened & to please give her a call. I called & left a message & I am waiting to hear back.


This would be a perfect job for me because it's-

close to home
when the kids have a school closing for weather I can be home with them
Working with food which I love
Summers off with my daughters




I'm so excited! Wish me luck!

What about the cleaning business???

Congrats, will you have benefits? I know its a huge benefit to be off same days as the kids are.

I guess we will have regular jobs until we can get the cleaning business off the ground.:dontknow:

My sis-in-law(who I'm suppose to start the cleaning business with) just quit her jon & accepted a job at the airport so I guess I'm not going to wait around for her.

I Actually miss working....LOL! I quit my deli job on Aug 14th right before we moved back to Vermont.

best of luck. My parents were teachers, my mom at my school and it was nice them having summers off and stuff w/ us.

I work at the local school in the cafeteria. Great hours and LOTS of vacation time..lol
