I hate to start carving pumpkins....my youngest dds pumpkin did not last long...the way we did it ..it caved in after a week....she was sooo disappointed

Next time soak your pumpkins in one tablespoon bleach to one gallon water until you have enough to cover your pumpkin. Let it soak for a hour or two.

After carving, mist the pumpkin daily with a bleach/water solution or spray down with Lysol disinfectant spray.

This will keep your pumpkins healthier looking and they won't cave in or grow mold as quickly.

Thanks....we use to soak them in ice water but got lazy this yr and didnt...but I guess I will have to do something next yr ...I will try your tip next yr.
