I need ideas on what to get ds teachers for Christmas. He has 3 teachers, but the one really goes out of her way for him. I think I posted here before about how his attention span isn't what it should be and she really works with him and does a great job communicating with me. For the other 2 teachers I thought about doing what I did last year for a teacher...making a movie night bucket. I have these cute Christmas buckets that are pretty good size. Last year I put in a fuzzy throw, popcorn, boxes of candy like you buy at the movie theater and a small gift card to Movie Gallery. I would like to do something a little extra for this teacher who goes so far out of her way for us. Anyone have any ideas?

having parents as teachers I know that after several yrs they get lots of those little things and no where to put them. The best received items are usually things like gift cards or "useful" items. Sounds like what you did last year was really nice. I some times GC to blockbuster, or Target. Also note cards so if they want to write a note to a teacher or parents they have some they can have in their desk.
At my boys school they have the teacher fill out a "what we like form" things like fav. food, activity, store, color... Maybe you can try to find out what your teachers like so you can go in that direction like a GC to a restaraunt also. HTH

I know most of the teachers I have talked to like GC or supplies to staples or office depot since a lot of stuff they have to get comes out of pocket for them. Maybe find clearnace deals or something like at walmart on pens and pencils ect. I dont know.

both replies are great ideas. get them something useful. I know they must get a lot of keychains or knick knacks and I know if they are like me, that def isn't something desirable as where are you going to put it?

Maybe just make her up a Christmas bucket like you are going to for the other teachers and put in a gift card for her for Wal-mart, Staples or some other store.

You could do one of the buckets filled with things she'd use in the classroom. Things like post it notes, paper clips, thumb tacks, staples, pens, pencils, etc.
