I have a laptop w/ the mouse that is the little button in the middle of the keyboard .. all of the sudden when I use my mouse and my left click button to scroll, I get a little circle that shows up and my screen keeps scrolling even when I have let go of the mouse.
How do I get rid of that circle? I don't know why it started doing it.
I know it sounds confusing, but hopefully someone out there knows what I am talking about lol

Normally if I just move the mouse a little bit to the left or right then left click it will disappear.

Ok here is what you do...
Walk over to the front door, open it and throw the damn thing out...works everytime.

Did you go into your keyboard settings to make sure something didn't get changed? I have 2 laptops but they don't have a thing like that on them. Just the pad and the buttons.

Did you try cleaning it? Use some canned air to blow it out? Sounds like it's getting stuck. If that fails, just hook up a real mouse and use that.

you're scroll button is gunked up. I would just open it up and clean it, BUT unless you're familiar with electronics i wouldn't recommend it cause there is alot you can damage in there. Do you have a Best Buy near you? They do little things like that at a preety reasonable price. For a short time solution, plug an extra mouse in your usb port.

And then will the laptop fairy bring me a new one?? LOL
The button is not sticking, I just cleaned it last week.
This is how my laptop is set up:
I have a "joystick" type mouse in the middle of my keyboard. I have 3 buttons under the space bar. (right and left click and the middle button is the scroll button) Normally when I scroll, I just hold down the middle scroll button and then move my mouse the direction I want to scroll.
Now when I scroll, I get a circle that pops up on my screen that has an up and down arrow on it. If my cursor is anywhere near the circle (which it always is because that where the circle pops up) the screen will scroll automatically rather than letting me do it manually. It doesn't pop up if I use the side bar to scroll using my left button, only when I use my scroll button with my cursor in the middle of the screen. I know its something that is built into the preferences or something, but I haven't figured out where and how to turn it off yet lol
It does do it like it was stuck or something, but this is directly related to that damn little circle and I don't know how to get rid of it....
I will go look at my settings and see if I can find anything :D

I used to get that on my other computer when I clicked the middle button on my mouse. So maybe something is stuck or some settings are off somewhere? Or its went crazy and decided to do whatever it wants? lol

I just went from desktop to laptop and I'm going bonkers with some things also. I play full tilt poker and I don't know how to slide the bar to raise a bet. Didn't know how to turn down the sound at first which was driving me crazy! Still learning more everyday. Sometimes I do see some sort of circle thing and I don't know what that is either.:banghead: Good luck!
