Seems that's all I've done today, lol!

It's monsoon season here in AZ and it's really windy right now and my power has gone out 3 times this morning. Almost everytime I get a post typed out, the power blinks. Also, yesterday it took me over 3 hours to D/L a prorgam because the power outages! So I just finished hooking my PC up to the battery back-up and won't have to worry about it rebooting all the time.

My letter at MWT, I feel your pain Hippie

Dear Monsoon Season,

Ok, that first little show you did three nights ago was spectacular. I'll admit you really got me with that one strike of lightning that literally lit the house up like we were on the sun. We all jumped about 6' in the air, and yes, I'll admit I snickered at the look on the cat's face. Oh, and that neat trick with the backdraft that blew the curtains, and the whole hair standing on end thing was pretty amazing. I could however, do without the power outages and flooding.

Day two, you were just showing off. Really. Was it necessary to strike my beautiful elm tree? Thank God it was raining at the time and the fire was quickly doused, but who do you think gets to clean up your mess? Yep, sure not you. Do you know how hard it is to clean up wet leaves? No, of course not. You never stick around to clean up your messes. Do you realize that when wet leaves dry to a house covered in dust, that they are stuck like crappy wallpaper??? Nooooooo. Of course not. Do you realize how hard it is to clean the second story. Nope. Guess who does though. Me. The added expense of the power washer I could have done without.

But last night, you just went too far. I know you thought it would be humorous to have the power go out after I went to sleep. I am sure you were giggling your thunder and lightning covered ass off at our mad scramble this morning. I mean, 10 minutes is plenty of time to get up, dressed, fed and out the door to catch the summer school bus and make it to work. NOT! Can you cut a mom a little slack please?

Signed,

Just a little frazzled.

PS: I hear we are expecting you to visit all week, play nice. Please?

LMAO! Love that. That's all we got so far today...wind, thunder and lightening. It did rain once last week and once this week. Other than that, it's been all dust. The last time the power went off, the air came back on but it isn't getting cool. Called the office and they said they're were trying to get it back on. Great. It humid (for AZ, anyway) and have no air.

But my PC doesn't go off when the power does now tho, I have no clue why I didn't do that sooner!

The humidity hit 46%. I cannot begin to tell you how gross that is.

I hear ya, it really hasn't been too rainy in the part of the valley I live in, but the wind hasn't been fun. Thankfully I didn't lose power, but w/ my damn internet connection whether it's a nice day or bad day it comes and goes as it pleases   I'm glad that I'm not the only one bitching about humidity in the 40%s. ;) Being from the midwest, seriously that is nothing, but once you get used to the dry heat.. man even 20% is A LOT!

I'm from TN and there, 48% is considered dry, lol! But being out here for the last 6 years, that WAY too humid for me. I visited TN last year in August and seriously, I could hardly breathe it was so humid.

I was going to say something to that effect...lol, but you know what? Our humidity right now is actually down to 36%. But it is still hot as hades out there. About an hour ago it was still 101. Now, hippie, I would be glad to take some of that rain over here. You know it is always nice to share?
