Paypal...

Last week, on wed. I did a bank transfer for $25.00 and then on Thursday I did a bank transfer for $100.00, then on Friday I did one for $125.00. So far only $25.00 has came through. Why is it taking so long??? I first thought it was because of the holiday but dang here it is Thursday and it still hasn't cleared. I have received money twice from other members without any problems and have even sent some. My bank shows the money is already gone to paypal??? It normally takes 3-4 days I just can't understand this and it wouldn't be so bad but I owe a couple of people money for items. I could have sent a money order and they would have gotten it by now. I think its horrible that paypal can have my money this long and not credit it to my account, they are just getting interest off it. Just aggravating.

that is long.....I would be contacting pp to see what is going on...it has been 5 regular days and it should have been in your account by now...good luck ..hope it is there soon

My bank transfers usually take up to a week before showing up in my Paypal account.

it usually takes mine between 3-6 days! it's not unusual. i think it's a way to get more interest off your money but they are not going to stop.

I think thats the case. Normally it has only taken me about 3 days to get it but this is ridiculous. I am going to call paypal if it hasn't cleared by tomorrow as well as I am calling my bank. I would hate to quit using paypal but I will.

Me too...makes me look bad to sellers I think. I am very aggravated and ticked. I WANT MY MONEY!!!

Is there something out there besides paypal that offers the same service as paypal, just better??? If so please someone let me know. TIA.

Not to the ones that know ya. I think as long as you have kept in contact with them and let them know that its a holdup with paypal, they will understand. Its not like you can control paypal. :willy:

When I submitted it the site said it should take 3 - 4 business days, but some banks take longer. With the holiday I wasn't counting on seeing the money in my bank account for abour a week. To my suprise it was there Tuesday the 29th - the next business day.

No it wasn't the bank, it was paypal. I checked my online banking and it showed gone almost immediatly after requesting it. I also ended up calling the bank the am. They said all 3 withdraws were on the days that I made them. It is def. paypal. Soooo aggravating.


Well they did allow me $100.00 of it today, isn't that nice of them...lol...so hopefully the $125.00 will come through tomorrow. Man I will never do this again.

If you have a debit card attached to your bank account, you can enter it online with paypal. Then when you need to pay for something, you don't have to wait until the money is transferred from your account. The debit card is an instant transaction.

I just found this out last night thanks to buttrfli. This is what I will be doing from now on.
