Tragic...

Somewhere in Texas, they found a woman and her 3 children hung to death in their closet. Her 8 month old baby survived, untouch. So so tragic. Pray for their family. They aren't sure what happened. I am afraid it is something like the woman is mentally ill?! The mom and dad are seperated so I guess thats another possiblity. So sad.

It wouldn't surprise me if the husband somehow did this all....although somewhere it said things were locked from the inside.....but......because she was here illegally and did not speak English well (or at all - it said they had to move her to another shelter because they did not speak Spanish)....she did use USA resources......her problems ran deeper than couseling here or in Mexico could handle.

It's very tragic for the whole family and should not have happened. With that said, I think it's a bit odd to try to 'blame' people who want immigrants to be legal for this tragedy.....:thumpdown: ...she created her own life and lifestyle. She chose to illegally cross a border and get invovled and stay involved with an abusive man.....did she deserve to die? no, but don't put her death on people who want to follow the law and want others to follow it too. Perhaps if she did follow the law, she wouldn't be dead nor have killed her own children. She wasn't here alone neither, she had her sister living in a trailer across the street.

What in the world does being illegal have to do with killing yourself and children??? That is absurd. Mental illness has nothing to do with being legal or illegal. Not to mention she did apply for a work permit, which showed she was trying to do the right thing. Lack of education on mental illness is the true problem. Blaming things like being legal and illegal does nothing for those suffering or for those that will suffer at the hands of the mentally ill.
I don't think the woman that drowned all 5 of her kids in a bath tub was illegal, I don't think the mom that threw her children off the bridge were illegal, actually both of them were born and raised in America and were living legally. Hmmm what about the Virginia Tech killings? He was here legally yet he was still able to kill 30 some innocent people.
So instead of trying to place blame get educated about it, and realize mental illness knows no bounds it affects all walks of life, rich, poor, fat, skinny, black, white, short, tall, legal, illegal, and on and on.
