Ok everyone has a few things that irritate them & here are mine.......
People who walk around a store talking loudly on their cellphone or using the walkie-talkie feature.
People who come to the deli counter to order something & they are talking on their cell phone.
When someone stops in the middle of the aisle in a store to talk to someone. Completely blocking you from going.
Someone walking their dog & lets them poop on our lawn where we know our dog cant get to.
So what irritates you??

all of the above ...plus
drivers that cut out in front of you and go under the speed limit
people that ask stupid questions like.....they see you out and about on a day that you would usualy work and ask " are you off today"...duh heres your sign.
People that put on their brakes while driving for no apparent reason or waaaay before the light or stop sign. Or put on their blinker and breaks but takes FOREVER to turn.
Those that think they know everything but actually know nothing.
I know I'll think of more throughout the day....LOL

People that litter...
People that can' t park their cars between the lines...
People that leave shopping carts in open parking spaces...
People that leave trash in shopping carts...

just people in general irritate me lol
I don't like people (or kids lol) who see me talking on the phone and think that its time to ask me a million questions.
I don't like parents who let the kids run wild through stores.
I don't like people who think that their time is much more important than mine.
I don't like drivers who are in a hurry and ride my ass (thats when I slow down)
I don't like neighbors who don't tie up their garbage and half of it ends up in my yard.
Thats all I can think of on one cup of coffee :D
Pepsi4me
05-14-2007, 06:35 AM
Delivery people or meter readers who just walk right through your yard even after seeing all the Beware of Dog signs on your property & the dog sitting right there barking at them.
Walk up the driveway(like they should anyway) where the dog is not able to go.

**People Who think I am a Bad Mom , cause I Can't Control my kids in Stores or wherever Else:o
I don't take them to fancy Dining halls and let them Act up -
But unfortunatly - I HAVE No Baby sitter and we are OUT of Food and Milk -
I gotta Drag them Along:rolleyes:
**People in general Who Judge harshley - Before they've ever Walked in that Persons Shoes.
**People Who Complain about Needing Money One day , but Bragging about what they Bought the Next:rolleyes:

People who shouldnt breed to have kids anyways
Stupid people piss me off
People in general
People who under estimate me
People who wont take a poopie bag when one is provided and a waste thing is provided too.
The wind ticks me off too
One other thing while I can think of it my stupid sinuses
People who judge books by its covers.

I like all that was posted so far....most all of them irritate me!
Here are a few that irrate me that I can just think of off the top of my head at the moment:
People who pass you while going the speed limit or a few over and then turn so that you have to slow down!
I agree with evrita on THE WIND...ugh I hate wind....hate spending the time I do on my hair just so I can go out and get blasted by the wind lol thats why I call it Father Nature and Mother Time...no woman would create wind!! lol
Step Children who you have practically raised for at least half of their live or more when they dont even bother to acknowledge you on special occassions(mothers day, birthday..etc)
Mail Carriers who are to lazy to get up off their butt and out of their vehicle to carry up a package to your door and just leave a pick up at the post office slip in your box
People who think the whole world owes them everything so they treat others like dirt
boopster
05-14-2007, 09:31 AM
People using cell phones who complain that everyone around them should stop talking because they can't hear the other person on their phone. (they are not on an emergency phone call)
People who think that the reason you opened the store door was so that you can play doormen for them ....especially men! (and no one even says thank you)
People who blast you for not turning right at a red light even though there are cars who have the right of way or else there is a sign that says 'no right hand turn'.
People who think it's ok to cut you in line since they are in a rush. I have had the reasons such as: 'I have to meet my kids school bus' as if there is no one else waiting in line that is in the same boat; the person who is adamant that they will be fired from their job if they are late one more time since they are habitually returning late from their lunch hour.
Parents who use the excuse that they can't help out at a school function since they work...duh as if no one else works! They are also the first to complain when certain school functions are eliminated since the PTA couldn't get enough volunteers. (even had the experience where a mother said that she works and couldn't bake so the mother was then told that it would be ok to pick up a store baked item and the mother's response was 'I don't go into grocery stores')
Dog owners (which I have been and I do love dogs) who put their dogs outside to bark and cry because the owner wants peace and quiet inside their own home.
People (and kids) who think that because you have 2 ears you should be able to hear 2 people at one time.

I knew there would be that one coming:p
I agree with all of your irritates!!!
People who don't use coupons and get irritated when i'm in front of them and i do! It saves me 1,000's a year;)
People who slam their car does open in parking lots, I care about my vehicle so at least respect mine!
People who think they should have everything handed to them without working for it!

05-14-2007, 10:57 AM
people who cut ya off only to slow down
people who get behind ya in the fast lane and tail ya so close that you will get into an accident if I were to put on the brakes EVEN though there is a slow poke in front of me and I can't go any faster
when I drive to the bigger city because I have too 2-3 times a month I feel my life is in my hands because they can't drive!
people flipping me off when they pass me to the right because of slow pokes in the fast lane.
people who are on their cell phones and driving crazy.
some inlaws
a sister who thinks she is better then her family and had no trouble being the nastiest you know what and went out to purposely hurt my mother
other parents around here because they don't seem to care about what their children do and then my daughter says well their mom let her do it and the like and I look like a bad guy.

A lot of things irriate me .. some of which I have read on here.
But mainly ignorant people bug the crap out of me .. and I am not saying ppl have to be "smart" to be my friend or ok in my book .. I mean ignorant by just not using common sense! Some ppl are just DUH!

I agree with the person that posted about the step children.
I have 3 step kids, 2 girls ( 20 and 19) and 1 boy (16). I also have 3 of my own 2 (boy 15 and girl 12 ) from my previous marriage, and one with said step childrens father , he is 5. The step kids dont acknowledge me at all as their step mother or the kids as brothers and sister. Their father and I have been married 7 years and the only time we ever hear from them is when they want money.
I hate when your own family members think they are so freakin holy that they think thier crap smells like roses and they can do nothing wrong.
I hate when parents that give their chidren up for adoption years later think they can order them around like they own them.
sorry, having a pissy day

:D I would piss off a lot of you!
I talk on my cell phone all the damn time. Isn't that the point of having a MOBILE phone? So what if I talk on it when I'm at the store?? Or in line at the grocery?
I put the person on hold when/if it's needed, but I don't see why it upsets people so much.
I used to get annoyed by petty things, too, but lately I've been trying to remember that there are more important things in life.
I'm not saying I enjoy standing in line when someone uses 175 coupons and price matches 45 stores, but I try to remember that they're saving much needed money.

:p Nothing wrong with venting. I get annoyed as hell about some of the smallest things, but I'm trying so hard to put myself in their shoes.
Now that I know how many people get annoyed about cell phones, I think I'm going to start randomly waving at people who are looking at me. Or maybe I'll just ask them if they need to make a call. :D (J/J)

Oh wait! I just found something small that annoys me! :D
On hotmail, they have this ad on the right side of the page. It's a pimple ad and it has a HUGE picture of these whiteheads that look like they're about to burst.
It's freaking NASTY and NOT something I want to look at all day. :p
(And, as of right now, I'm thankful that that's my biggest concern for the day! lol)

I talk on my cell phone a lot too, BUT I am not one of those RUDE cell phone talkers. I am actually aware that someone at the check out is trying to help me. There is really nothing I hate more than a customer who I wait on that is on their cell .. I give them time to finish their call, even approach the table several times while their on their phone, and sometimes they have the nerve to get irritated when I am not there the second they hang up .. hey I could be on another table by that time .. lol.

I think it's mostly when I'm at work helping people at the deli & they walk up talking on their cell phone & trying to order at the same time. They are too busy talking & cant figure out what they want & then other people waiting behind them get angry.
I actually am a pretty laid back person & dont let little things get to me but once in a while when Ive had a bad day it can really be irritating.

My oldest son owns a deli and he will agree with you. He has a lot of doctors who come in and should they be on a medical call he has no problem helping them when they are ready but he has told his employees that if a person is on a personal call when it is their turn to order and the customer waves them away, they should just go to the next person in line. Should this inconsiderate hang up and then demand to be helped immediately then they can inform the person that they can wait their turn since they were not willing to place their order when it HAD been their turn. Most of those customers usually apologize and go to the back of the line. The ones who stomp out and probably try the same thing at another deli will at times come back with their tail between their legs. We live in a town of 20,000 but there is a good chance that people either know you personally or know of you...which can be good and bad :)

If a customer is on the phone I will just ask very loudly "Can I help you?" then if they are still on the phone while Im slicing their items I will ask them "how much did you need?" "or is this sliced ok?" while doing every item. If Im interupted them then thats their problem cause Iam a husman being doing them a service & they should respect that.

Of course people who talk on their cell phones while driving (it's illegal in my state!)
Women who drive Lexus SUV's
Rosie O'Donnell
PETA
How all companies are moving to Mexico and China because labor is cheaper
President Bush
Hillary Clinton
Celebrities
........and I'll stop there because I don't want to start offending people!
Geez, how could I forget - any teenage girl that is employeed in my state, particularly at Dunkin Donuts' and grocery stores...

people who may not like a certain thing and think it should be done away with to please themselves without any regard to people who might not feel the same way they do
when i see an overweight person that i know for a fact is not disabled riding around the grocery store in a motorized wheelchair, then i see an elderly person or someone on crutches/using a cane hobbling around because there aren't any wheelchairs left for them to use
all the people my age or close to it (22) who are applying for and getting disability checks and a million kinds of welfare because they're "sick". they have the best of everything, while i work 2 jobs and don't have even half of what they do

1. Employees that act like they should get paid for doing nothing. If I go in a store and ask politely for help from a sales person, I expect friendly customer service...not a unfriendly attitude. What do they think their there for, to look pretty?
2. People wearing Bluetooth headsets while shopping! Well actually they don't annoy me, I'm more entertained by the fact they look like they are insane walking around talking to themselves. :p
3. People who let their kids run crazy and tear up my store. Do they think that stuff is giving to me for free? I never let my son act like that when he was growing up. Kids can look at things and put them back in there place without having to tear it open throw stuff all over the place and holler like wild animals while they are in there. But most parents do make them mind, only a few are out of control.
4. People who shoplift. Once again, do they think that stuff is just giving to me? If I walked in their home and tried to walk out with an expensive item, I would probably get shot in the head.
5. Cruel or mean spirited people.
6. Credit card companies & Doctor bills.
7. Gas prices going up, making items in the store go up because it cost the stores more for shipping now. The greedy fat cats that are causing this.
8. Sending teenage boys & girls to war when they won't even be old enough to drink for another 3 years. I say if they are to immature to handle liquor here in the USA, then they are to young to handle being sent to war.
just people in general irritate me lol
That pretty much sums it up. Thank god I'm going to be working overnight.

just remember one thing just because a person is overweight does not mean they are faking it, if you saw me get out of my vehicle to walk to the back of it you would probably think i was faking it, well guess what i'm not...
i can walk maybe 30-50 ft maybe a little farther, but i drive to a strore slap my placard on the mirror and walk to the back and unload my wheelchair all the while on my own 2 feet after that tho i better be sitting or else, and my disability is the main reason i'm overweight.

I agree with you, but I think she's talking about these young fat butts that are just to lazy to walk and get those electric buggies they have at the front of the store. I've even seen grown men racing on them in grocery stores before. Allot of overweight people could walk in and get what they need and leave. But they want to shop for hours and they think those electric buggies are there for them to have a luxury shopping experience. I'm fat, and my knees hurt when I'm in that super wal-mart so I don't stay to long. I get what I need and get out. Sometimes if I want to shop longer I will sit for a spell on a bench to rest. I won't ever get one of those electric carts as long as I can walk and don't have chronic pain. But if I get that bad, I would bring my own chair (like suprtruckr does) so I wouldn't be taking a electric buggy away from a old person who really needs it.

My two cents worth the op said things that irk me to no end, but the icing on the cake was on mothers day, i was at the cemetery, placing flowers on my mums grave as well as little brothers and big sisters and a young girl was at a gravesite a few over and talking on her cell phone as though she was gonna drop over dead if she didn't get to talk to who ever. laughing and swearing like a troll. talk about disrespect. I know my husband was extra nervous cause he knew i was about to grab her phone and shove it where there ain't no sun.what a jerk face loser she was.

The mail lady always giving us the wrong mail, no matter how many times we complain to the postmaster and he says it will never happen again or the neighbors getting our mail and bringing it to us.
People who tell the same stupid story over and over and over and over again.
The pharmacy never having your prescription ready when it's supposed to be.
Doctors bills and telemarketers/credit card companies selling you the protection plan.
Coworkers smoking in the office
Coworkers being right beside the empty coffeepot, but ask you to make the coffee.
People not loading the dishwasher, just putting dishes in the sink.
Customers who just want to complain about everything.
Cops who think they're above the law. I know a few cops who turned out to be criminals.
Cops who don't follow the posted speed limits signs, so why should we.
Teenage kids who have nothing better to do than get into trouble
People who have kids and don't take care of them

My big gripe for the day--
Parents who don't bring toys or books to occupy their own kids. I'm tired of dragging stuff for one kid to play with while the other is at soccer practice and then poof, here comes every other kid around asking, "Can I play with that? Are you playing with that? I WANT THAT!" And the mom is too busy running her mouth to somebody to even know what's going on. There's one 2 yr old that drives my 7 year old nuts. I end up having to send the kid back to his mom so he doesn't break all of my son's stuff.
Summer at the pool-- once again I lug all the kids' pool toys so they will be occupied and magically everybody else's kid appears. I'm always amazed at how these kids will come right up to a complete stranger and say, "Are you playing with that? Can I play with it now?" Either that or they just take it.
I'm so TIRED of having to be the bad guy. I'm tired of everytime I go in the front yard with my kid, the neighbors "send" their kids out to play. They don't come out with them, just send them over to me. If I wanted more than two kids, I would have more kids of my own.

.....people who think it is ok to make fun of or comment on a person who is overweight/fat. This is the last allowable discrimination. I know many overweight people, myself included. I am far from lazy nor do I overeat. My kids, bodybuilders, tell me I am heavy because I do not eat enough. I was in the military and I was heavy then too but I am flexible and am more capable of doing things alot of thin people can't.

~ people who park in handicapped spaces when they have no right (by that I mean no card, no nothing, usually just waiting for someone and uses the spot to see them come out, or too lazy to find a spot, OR they have a boo boo and feel they are entitled to park there)
~people who go to take a right or left turn, and then just before they turn, they swerve AWAY from the lane to make that HUUUUUUUUGE *little* turn, almost hitting everyone else who drives past them...(hey I drive an 8 passenger Suburban if I can turn as close to the lane as possible without swerving out, why can't you in your little car??)
~people who swear at their kids and call them names, I mean come on, how do you think that kid is going to grow up?? I see this mostly with teen/young moms, as if they are talking to a friend or something.

In other words, an Aisle hogger???? Or what about when people look at what you have in your grocery cart, it makes me feel like I shouldnt be buying a certain item, like its a no-no or I am too cheap to buy a better brand???

Women who wear their clothing too tight.
Women who wear clothing that's too young for them.
Muffin tops & whale tails.
Bratty children who scream your eardrums out.
People who smoke then get all close to talk to you with their smoker's breath.
People who leave small dogs & cats outside in winter. If you can't take care of them (and that includes keeping them WARM.. and I don't mean in a dog house) don't have them.
People who bitch about being broke all of the time but still manage to pay for the internet. I understand that it's one small expense..but when you're talking about not being able to feed your family...give me a freaking break.
Tweens who trick or treat without costumes.
My fiance's brother.
People who don't pay better attention to what their teenagers are doing then get all pissed off when they find out that little Sue is an internet stripper.
People who have to bring politics and religion into everything. It's important, but it's NOT life.
Right now.. that "special time of the month". Argh!
People who always have to one up others.
Fat people in bikinis & speedos. For the love of God & humanity.. they make one pieces and swim trunks for a reason.
Parents to feed their kids complete crap then act pissed off when someone mentions that their child is unhealthy.
EVERYTHING! ;D
As for the non disabled overweight people who use the store electric wheelchairs, I have a little story. I have no idea what so ever if they woman was actually disabled, but judging by her size I'd say her weight qualified her as such. There was a woman, I'd say about 24-27ish probably around 450lbs. She was riding around on one of the wheelchairs eating a Big Mac. Seriously, chomping down on a burger and fries. My Mom and I ran back into her while looking for tins of cookies and she'd opened one of those candy tins and was throwing down on that in the middle of the aisle. People like that, I have NO pity for.

"~ people who park in handicapped spaces when they have no right (by that I mean no card, no nothing, usually just waiting for someone and uses the spot to see them come out, or too lazy to find a spot, OR they have a boo boo and feel they are entitled to park there)"
I forgot to mention this too!

people that talk on the cell phone and drive...just as dangerous as driving with an alcohol level of 0.8 to 1.2 considered legally drunk.
drivers that don't allow pedestrians to cross the street or finish crossing the street although the pedestrian has the walk signal first...

My dad was one of those that needed those handicapped spots and once he saw a young person who had NO reason to park there, blocked em in and called the cops on em :)

1. People that mistreat children, the elderly or animals.
2. Liars and thieves.
3. People that leave there kids in the car "just for a second" while they run in and so something, do they not see all the amber alerts?? Yesterday I was at the post office for about 10 minutes and two women did that.
4. Someone that displays the American flag when it is torn, or otherwise damaged. A guy down the street from me has one that looks like it has been through a shredder. He may mean well, but I think it is disrespectful. Guess I get that one from being in the military ;)
5. People that let their kids run wild all over the store. Again do they not see all the amber alerts? And JMO they would rather 'give in' and let the kids do what they want instead of being a 'parent' and saying no you are staying with me. I have seen kids climb up shelves, knock stuff over, run into people, acting like wild animals. It is disgusting, and the kids have NO discipline. And the parent wonders why the kids are like that

People who say what other people should wear....
People who say what others should (shouldn't) eat...
People who park in disabled parking spots with no plate/sign.
People who park beside the disabled parking spots (where there are lines painted--they are there for a reason--to let a lift down for a wheelchair--duh!)
People who discriminate
Lairs/backstabbers/theives
People who pull out in front of you just to turn a block away
Teachers who think they know what's best for YOUR child, and don't hesitate to tell you so.
I have no problem with cell phone drivers as long as they can keep up with the flow of traffic and obey the rules, otherwise it's not only aggraviting, it's against the law!
Relatives that call at 7 in the morning on a weekend...or twenty times a day to tell you what is on sale at a particualr store.
ok, that's enough for now....  :D

The email notifications that I have won a UK lottery or UK ebay prize
Heavy people that complain about their shoes and feet hurting. I am sorry, but the solution is obvious to me.
Parents who make excuses for their children
People who spend all their money eating out and complain they don't have any more money (duh)
People that hate other people because of their race or religion
Intolerance. Period.

Thats a funny one because my DD complains her feet and back hurt and she is a heavier girl and well I guess you assume it is obivious right but you dont know the shoe is hiding a huge scar where she had major surgry on her foot and look at that shoe to see the bottom of it has a built in almost 2 inch lift where one leg is shorter then the other and makes her back hurt.
Intolerance. Period:rolleyes:

You know, this is an irritation thread....I know heavy people...friends, that complain of foot problems and they have no prior history. So, I will add to my list:
People that assume you are discussing them personally when it is just a general statement.
All the above complaints can be retorted as well....so which one will you analyze next?
You should know what happens when you assume things.

I just had a cashier in Stop and Shop and boy was she going to town on her gum. I hate that it is so rude.
She then decided to just leave the regisster in the middle of my sale, no idea why, she did not really go anywhere, just left. came back chewing her cud.
Then her little sister? came in and was behind the register with her, she started talking with her and chewing her gum faster, then started yelling go find mommy.
I HATE WHEN PEOPLE CHEW GUM LIKE THAT

Affirmative action, political correctness, Jessee Jackson and when blacks and other minorities think only white people are prejudice. Only whites are allowed to be discriminated against with the help of the US Government and blacks can hurl racial slurs at whites and others all day long but whites must be careful of what they say.

People who only do nice things just to get praise and attention (or money). They constantly talk about how they are such a good person to do such a thing and can't have a conversation w/o mentioning something about it.
They did a nice thing, woohoo for them, but to do it for the wrong reasons, makes it not such a nice thing anymore.

My MIL does this!!!! And it irks my arse when she does this!!! Some people have tried telling her not to be so braggish about whatever she does but it hasnt done anygood, it has gotten to the point to where we sometimes dont listen to her when she does this.
