Anyone heard of these? I just heard about them today and they sound nasty.

The school sells Kool-Aid pickles from the popular red flavor family at its fund-raisers. “They’re easy to make a gallon,” Ms. Williams said. “You pull the pickles from the jar, cut them in halves, make double-strength Kool-Aid, add a pound of sugar, shake and let it sit — best in the refrigerator — for about a week. The taste takes to anything. A while back I made a mistake and bought a jar of pickle chips instead of halves or wholes. Came out fine. This whole Kool-Aid pickle thing is going so good, you wonder why somebody hasn’t put a patent on them.”

Red is the best koolaid flavor! My FIL calls any type of "juice" drink like this red drink or purple drink or whatever color it happens to be. It's kinda funny.

I ran this idea past my hubby who's a chef and pickle enthusiast. He made up a batch for himself. So gross. I'll let you know what he thinks of koolickles.

Ok, I ate one! It wasn't bad really, but 'different'. It was sweet from the cherry Koolaid but there was still a little dill flavor too.

My neighbors now think I'm nuts, (or more so than usual) I went over and asked for koolaid pickles so I could post about it on here. They looked at me funny! :D
