I am in the process of trying to get my daughter in preschool next year. I have her on the waiting list of a teaching program at our local high school. The problem is that the waiting list is crazy, she may or may not get in. Its a great program that is 4 days a week about three hours each day and costs $6 a day. Affordable at least. The other part time programs I have checked into are $400 a month!!:eek: Can't do that on my budget. The surrounding counties have free public preschool. Sucks that we don't!!

You don't have a Head Start program there? Wishing you luck with finding something for her.

Most headstart programs are associated with the school system but all are not. Headstart is one government program that is good and works. Do a web search for headstart programs in your state. Good luck.

My daughter found problems getting her daughter in to pre school last yr too. But kindergarten is required so they will have to take all children who are old enough.
