Can someone tell me if Pushkies and Paczki are the same thing. I can find recipes for Paczki but not for Pushkies. When I do a search for Pushkies it comes up as Paczki, but just wasn't sure if they were the same thing. I would really like to make my dad some because he loves them.
Thanks for your help.

ok, they are both the same thing. Packzi is pronounced poonch key. It is a jelly filled doughnut that basically is the richest thing you can eat. Lots of eggs, sugar, the whole works. They are great if they are done right. These are usually made right before Lent. Dang...I haven't had good polish cooking in over 20 years. Now I want LOTS of it!!!!

Yep, they are the same. Never saw it spelled the other way, always paczi!
Got mine on tues. and ate 3! They were so yummy, but like lead weights!
I make my own pierogies and cabbage rolls (Can't spell it!)>

Thanks for the info everyone. I did find a recipe for them and it doesn't look to difficult. I think I know what I'll be making this weekend. They do sound really good.
