I am looking for a certain type of shirt and I don't know what its called LOL

When I was younger we called them halters. They had shoulder straps (not spaghetti thin, but not wide either) and the chest part was a stretchy ribbed fabric and the rest of the shirt was straight... or whatever. When I look for halters, I only get the shirts that tie behind the neck and have no straps and I don't want those.

Either I took too much cold meds or I don't know what I am talking about...

or both :D

Are you looking for kids or adults? I know for kids they are called smocked swing tops. Don't know about adults.

I used to wear those in the 60's and 70's and I also called them Halter tops.

LOL It's true what they say: Everything comes back. If I see any online I will let you know.

Thank's for the stroll down memory lane :)

I was going to say if you look under vintage halter tops you might be able to find it. LOL I have a couple of them that have the shoulder straps but it kind of criss crosses in the middle and then the rest of the shirt is kind of long and flowing. Almost like a dress but shorter.

Sounds like just a tank top to me. Halters usually tie around the neck and leave the top half of the back bare.

They look like this

but they have thin straps on them. I found some by searching for "tube top" and "smock top"

not very cheap LOL

Right, but 'back in the day' (lol) we called the ones I am talking about, halters... must be a country thing ;)

I love the halters they have now, but a little too little for my girls :D
