How many here have washed their keyboards in the dishwasher and exactly how do you do this? .. lol.

I know you have to put it in upside down and let it dry completely (24 hours or more) .. what do you do with the cord? Does that go in as well? I am considering washing mine but very leary on it.

Three of my keys are not working; capital t and y and my underscore and it's driving me nuts!

I have hinted to hubby so maybe he'll get me a new keyboard for Christmas ;) .. lol

My hubby would put the keyboards through the dishwasher at work but I never heard of taking them apart. Put them on the top shelf, NO SOAP, and run through a cycle. No drying in the machine.

Then air dry completely for two or more days. Worked for them.

I have family members that put their keyboard in the dishwasher. That's when it's nice to have a spare since they take a long time to dry out and it would be difficult not being on the puter - withdrawal ya know...........
