I need some more help

How do I go about buying a new sound card for this computer? I mean, does it have to be a certain type or style? What does "bit" mean? I've been looking on amazon.com (have some gc's for there) and I found some that were 5.1 bit, some were 16 bit and so on. Do I need a certain bit or will any do? I have no idea what bit size I have in it right now. All I know it that it will not work. LOL

I really have NO clue, but this is what I would do. I would call up best buy or a place like that and talk to them and ask. then just buy it off amazon.com I am sure that they will be able to help you.
