I got to the hospital Friday morning at 6am to be induced, but they didn't get my IV started until 8am. It was a very long, trying, painful day. Finally by 6pm I starting going somewhere and he was born at 6:53. We changed his name slightly to incorporate my husband's name because he is practically his clone (aside from the dimple he got from me). So here's the rundown:

Noah William Nicholas A.
born Friday, September 8, 2006 @ 6:53 pm
9 lbs 12 oz. and 21 in. long
dark brown hair, blue eyes (at least for now), and a dimple on his right cheek

Saturday was even worse as I had my tubal ligation done. Today I had to wait on his circumcision and wasn't able to leave the hospital until around 3pm. I was there for almost 2½ days and I'm so glad to be home! They just took his picture today, so it's not on the hospital website yet. When I have more time tomorrow, I will try to post some pics we took with our digital. The kids and everyone else in the family are beyond thrilled...as are dh and I of course!

Congrats! He sounds like a doll. He sure is a big baby! My daughter was 9 pounds 1 ounce and I thought she was big. I also had my tubes tied. Glad to hear everyone is doing well :) Can't wait to see the little guy! :D

I have a history of big babies, but we honestly weren't expecting this one to be quite so large. My dd was 8lbs. 2oz. My 1st ds was 9lbs. 11oz. I only gained 7lbs this pregnancy, so I was quite surprised to have another almost 10 pounder. I used one of my favorite pics on my MySpace profile, so I'll post that one here as well. I'll have to put some others up later.

Awesome! Mine were 6.7, 7.14, 8.4, and 9.14. My 9.14 baby is 6' 5 1/2" at 17 and still growing! Some must have big jeans... Very beautiful baby by the way!

He is gorgeous!! You just about had a toddler. LOL. My son was 5lb2oz, and then my daugher was 9lb15.5 oz. EVeryone always told me I had a toddler as well. Congrats!!

Hubby is blushing now after reading these comments. hehe I do think they are both quite handsome myself, but I know all mothers are a bit biased. ;) After about 6 outfit changes overnight we've discovered Noah looks his best in blue though. LOL I think he has his days and nights mixed up right now because he was cranky all night and is sleeping good today. I managed to get 5 hours for myself after dh took him out of our bedroom this morning. Let's just hope we can get him into some kind of routine fairly quick. :p

Thanks again to all! Noah is a week old today and everything is slowly getting better. It will be interesting next week when dh returns to work! LOL Here's a pic of our whole family when we got home from the hospital on Sunday.
