mouth pieces for football

Hello my 8 year old son is going out for flag football this year. we had our first meeting last night practice tommorrow night,anyway they gave us the mouthpieces to boil and then fit in child's mouth. I have never done this before surley isn't to hard :) anyweay son's mouth is so small Has any of you had a problem doing this?

you can cut the excess off so that it fits in his mouth alittle better in the back...but once you put in the boiling water watch it so it dont get tooooo soft...lol....it will form to his little mouth.....I use to have to this for Karate
