The Perceptual Development Laboratory at the University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center in Waltham, MA is conducting a series of research studies of face processing in hearing and deaf adults between the ages of 18 and 40. We are interested in how deafness might affect the way people perceive faces. Each study involves a 1 to 3 hour visit to our laboratory in Waltham. During your visit you will watch pictures on a computer screen and respond to what you see with buttons on a game pad. For some of our studies we will also record your brainwaves in response to these pictures and responses. We provide compensation for participation in each of our studies.
