and the phone activated and it still doesnt work
they sent me a replacement fone...i am having the same trouble with it
and all they keep telling me is wait this many business hours
wait this many days..i have done all this and still no fone service..
has anyone ever had this problem with their phones?
the ppl who are in customer service are really nice and try to help...but its been several weeks the phone wont work and they have given us 210 free units but what good are they if the phone does not work and you can not use it...............

Ugh! I am going through the same thing with the phone my DD bought around Christmas time
I give up and I think she has as well....It was the 20.00$ version. Her friend got the next step up one and it works fine??
Good luck to you! Now her time has run out on the dumb thing and we have to re-activate it all over again!

My hubby & I have virgin mobile pay-as-you-go phones. Never had a problem with them. You get the phone, call or go online to activate, then charge it. They automatically give you $2.50 of money on the phone & then you just add at least $20 each time you need more.
Tell someone about Virgin mobile & if they buy a phone have them use you as a referal when they activate & you get $20 added to your phone.

yes, I had one that was not programmed for my area, took them 3 months of daily phonecalls to determine this, had me send it back - at my expense - and they sent me a duplicate of the one I had which of course didn't work in my area. Finally gave up until recently when my one of 7 years bit the dust, now I have a small problem and really hate to call and talk to them.
I recently found on their website that they will pay/reimburse you for the shipping fees so if you pd to send it in I would get them to refund the shipping.

Hope this helps you. and ask for a supuerviser the next time you call them.

My mom has a tracfone and loves it. She hasn't had any problems with hers that I'm aware of. She got it for Christmas and uses it every day. Sorry you guys are all having problems with yours. :( We were going to get my ds one for his birthday but decided to add him onto our plan instead. We decided it would be cheaper to do it that way. He's doing really good about using his minutes wisely, surprisingly. lol

I have a tracfone and sometimes when my boyfriend tries to call me he says that it goes straight to my voice mail. I just got the phone a couple of months ago and he's the only one that has the number so there is no way of knowing if it's just a problem that he is having since no one else calls me on it. I have tried calling my cell from my home phone and it goes through okay but for some reason he has problems getting through once in a while.

I had Tracfone and had nothing but problems. I now have Virgin Mobile and I get auto top up and spend only $15 for 2 months. I have referred people and got the bonus. Their customer service is great. I Highly suggest them.

i have the 20.00 tracfone and have had no problems with the phone. i've had it for a 1year and a half. the only problem i had was when i referred my mom they didn't give me my 100 minutes or my mom i called and emailed them for a month. i finally told them i was turning them in to the BBB which i did and less then 24 hours i had my minutes.

I'm on my 3rd tracfone....the other 2 wore out :D As far as tracfone service, I've had no problem but I hate the motorola model I got. It doesn't ring very loud (yes I have it turned ALL the way up) and it takes 6 hours to charge the battery. I'm getting a better model soon especially since I can transfer numbers now.

well we finally got it to working thanks to maurice..he was great...really went the extra mile..got the new phone...which he was mad cause it was suppose to be a gsm phone but they sent a phone like we had..but i dont care we got it working and i was glad hated my son being with out one...we came out ok even though it took so long..we started out with: 10 units for buying the phone 10 units for activating on line and the 100 refer a friend minutes, and since we had so much trouble they compensated us with......drum roll please...280 units which gave him a total of 400 units and its active til mid of sept...so worked out great and they really did keep on working on it til they got it done...............
We got rid of ours because we had nothing but problems with it
so we just went and got a regular cell..we didn't want a contract deal
but we got fed up with the Tracfone

just to ley you know tracfone is owned by walwart. If you call their customer service number they will help you out. I had the same problem with tracfone and they told the local walmart to give me a loaner until the new phone arrived
