How horrifying! Thank goodness everyone is alright. I know it is upsetting but the worst is yet to come. You may not be able to continue to work there. I remember when my apt was robbed, I had to move.

the police took the report and they put out all the info I gave him. and they gave us a case number. I work in fast food and this happed right at closing time at 8 pm. the guy words to us was what time to you close we told him 8 and he said oh I just made it.

That is so sad.....I am so sorry to here that....that happened to a friend of mine when we were in High school, but he was pistol whipped....he would never go back to work for a fast food place again, and to this day will not eat pizza...(he worked in a pizza place at the time)

I am so sorry this has happened to you and glad to hear you are doing ok.
I hope they catch the jerk and put him away for a long time.
I was working at a pizza shop a long time ago out of high school and a guy came in and held a gun to my head and got 32.00 in cash, that was frightening, but what was more frightening was his dad was very prominent in the community and this guy that robbed me had the nerve to come in 2 weeks later and order a PIZZA!!! we immediately called the police and he was arrested, he did not have a mask on when he robbed initially, so identifying him was easy, there were 3 witnesses. it went to court and he got off. can you believe it??
and the best part is about to come folks, a month later i was served papers along with everyone else notifying us that he was suing us each for one million dollars for the anguish he had suffered!!!! the case was eventually dropped thanks to the enlistment of wonderful high priced lawyers we had hired. See how these jerks can turn around and and claim they were the victim??
man oh man what a time that was, i still shutter when i relive that moment in time when i could of been killed over 32.00.

Do they make you close alone? When I used to work as a server and in retail, we were never allowed to close alone and could only walk out in groups of 3 or more (and that's in a relatively safe area).

A big stick isn't going to do much if someone has bad intentions. Try buying some pepper spray and carrying it with you. (I have mine on a keychain and it works really well). It won't stop someone with a gun, but it'll be more help than a stick.

we only have 2 people on when we close. it was one other girl and I. I told the owner I wanted some thing more to keep us safe and he said no guns and no spray because the person might use it on us. the stick is just to make me feel better.
