Warning Domestications Is Selling Your Name

Within the last 2 weeks, I've gotten over 20 catalogs I did not request. Finally after calling 12, I got one to agree to figure out who was selling my name. The answer...Domestications! I called the 800-826-8240, got a customer service rep who admitted you have to TELL them not to sell or rent your name, not just get off their mailing list! :mad: They have a whole separate thing for selling off your info.
I haven't ordered from them since last summer, but always enjoyed the catalog. No more.
I have one of the supervisors trying to figure out who they sold my name to so I can call each directly before this snowballs any further.
Good luck, everybody. If you don't want to be in catalog hell and have ever gotten their catalog, call to tell them not to sell your name.
They must have sold mine to at least these 20 companies in a short time in order for them all to have come at one time. Now I have to wait and see how many times those people have sold my name.... :mad:

yes is the same for most companies now a days - they get money for selling mailing lists. I ordered a xmas gift for my neice this year on soccer / sports related items that she requested. I specifically requested NOT to send out cataloques to me as I would never buy anything unless my neice who is out of state specifically requested it. They agreed. But they still send new catalogues every month anyways and now I have a bunch of other sports companies doing same

i gets lots of calls at home from ppl i havent even heard of and if their 800 shows up i call them back and ask them to take me off the lists......sad that we have to do that now days......if they knew how poor i was they wouldnt waste their time trying to sell me things in the first place lol
