 I am so mad right now steam is pouring out of my ears, three years ago I had some blood work done totaling $375 and some cents. Over the course of a year I paid them off by scrimping and saving and doing without, I was not working but believe in paying my debts. They then send me to a collection agency. I call Quest, fax them the documents showing I had paid ((cashed checks and postal MO stubs)) etc and the bills that were sent to me showing I was making and had it paid off, they get the collection agency off my back because DUH I paid it in full.

So now I get something in the mail, you guessed it, a collection notice. I call Quest and they say that the account is so old that they have no record that it even exsists, to call the collection agency, I call the collection agency and they say to call Quest again. I now call Quest again, after waiting on hold for 20 minutes I get a rude lady that says to fax my proof in, I do so, they lose my documents two times ((keep in mind that I dont have a fax machine so I have to pay each time to fax these in)) Finally, tomorrow I am sending it registered mail and the type of confrimation that needs to be signed for. I am almost in tears, I am finally getting my credit back in order and this could really screw it up. My advice 2 n e one else, dont get ur work done thru quest diagnostics, find a DR that does the labs thru his or her own office, they charge you out the rear end and they are RUDE RUDE RUDE

i owed them over $700 a year or so ago, i called them and told them i have no job, my husband is the only person in our family that works and we have no health coverage.
they sent me some forms to fill out, also had to send them a copy of our tax papers and *poof* the bill was gone.
they will not tell you they have a hardship program unless you ask.
when i first called i wanted to set up payments, they they wanted more a month than i had to give.

It won't screw your credit up. If it does show up on your credit you send your proof to the 3 companies (experian, equafax and trans union) and they will remove it.

I could only wish. I have been battling it out with I.C. Systems for over a year. My OB/GYN turned me over to a collection agency shortly after my son was born. He was born two months early and needless to say unexpected expenses arose from that event. I did pay them off 4 months after he was born, but still received the notice from I.C. Systems. They finally gave me credit for $555 of $575 but still claim I never paid that last $20. I have faxed and certified mailed copies to them; all to no avail. I contacted the credit bureaus, sent in my proof, etc. All I got was a return statement saying that they found the debt to be valid. How!? What?! Why?! Honestly, I'm about to give in and just pay the $20...but it's the darn principle of it!

Quest is famous for losing bills and losing "payments". I can't tell you how many times I have had to deal with them. Insurance pays them and they still can't get it straight.
Each time I have bloodwork, I ask if there is anyone else they can send it off too and unfortunately , there isn't.

It depends on your insurance as to where your lab work can get done. We have an in house lab at the clinic I work at and still have to send a lot out because of insurance company contracts. It really bites.

Damn!! I knew I should have saved those bills. I am absolutely positive I paid them for one service 2 times!! I kept wondering how I was getting bills for almost a year after my doctor visit. Then the last one I looked at more closely and realized I had paid it. Made me realize I probably paid for a couple of the bills more than once.

My mom just got sent to a collection agency from quest and she had paid it already, she even had the cashed check to prove it! ((My moms bank copies all the checks cashed she writes)) so now she is doing the Quest shuffle
