Pretty gross!

I brought raisins(the little boxes of SunMaid) along with us to my dd's dentist appt this morning. Well, ds ate one box and wanted another. I gave him the 2nd box and he wants to open it himself like a big boy...lol...anyhow I noticed when he opened it up it looked like there was a smooshed raisin on top....no big deal. Ds starts eatting and then gets this nasty face, leans his head over and I put my hand out to catch what he was spitting out....sorry, gross...I know. But, then I'm trying to figure out why he is spitting them out, cause he LOVES raisins. What he spit out was NOT A RAISIN. I'm not sure what it was, it was like a ton of stems, etc. Almost like chewing tobacco. I'm pretty po'd because I dont know what it was. I do still have the remains...lol....in a baby wipe and I'm not quite sure what to do. Dh thinks I need to contact them...what do you all think???

BTW, it wasn't just one little stem or anything it was a lot of whatever it is.

Narsty. Let's just hope it was just part of the plant or whatever. Last year I found BUG EGGS in DD's Gerber fruit snacks. I had no idea what they were, but I sent them in for analysis and Gerber wrote me back saying they were bug eggs, they were sorry, and here are some coupons for your trouble. Ick!

I wonder if it wasn't the stems from the grapes. Maybe the grapes weren't totally removed from the stems before they were dried into raisins.
I would have definitely contacted the company, too.

Yuck!! Well I had a problem with some icecream and sent them an email and they sent me 3 coupons for 3 free cartons of icecream. good luck. :o

Sounds like the stems from the grapes. You could contact the company, but, it is not unusual to find "extras" in anything, kind of on the same lines as finding a bone in a chicken filet.
