OMG! Dh & I went n' saw this yesterday! I really had no clue what the film was about, I just wanted to see it becasue I live Hugo Weaving soooo much. DH had read the comic, so he knew alot about the back story.

What a great movie! Very errie when you look at how the world / govenrment is run today. The comics were written 15 years ago, but it certainly holds true to whats going on today.

I also found it ironic that John Hurt, who stared in one of the best "future-fiction" films of our day, 1984 , was the Chancellor / evil dictator.

GREAT GREAT FILM! I highly recommend seeing it!!!

I agree that the movie was great! I saw it yesterday as well. I've read "1984", so I noticed the parallels with the book. If one wasn't thinking about the restrictions placed upon citizens by the government, then this movie just may start this thinking process. Overall, I highly recommend this movie!
