This may sound weird but the other day I had terrible hiccups and my co-worker told me to put my fingers to my ear and close them for 30 seconds or so while standing still and somehow it worked. I've NEVER had any suggestion to cure hiccups work...until now. Couldn't hurt to try it.

Well they are gone for now. I get rid of them and then about 15-20 minutes later they come back. AUGH!
I had a teacher in high school who would call you to the front of the class if you had the hiccups. Once you were up front he would make you face the class and then he would say"OK, hiccup now". It was amazing, it would almost always cure the hiccups.

sugar usually works for me too, but I'm at work right now. (Working really hard, I swear! ;) ) Oh, Yeah, and they are back again! Maybe if I quit stopping them, they will just give up. It sure makes answering the phone hard.

Sugar is the only thing that works for me. As a teenager I had them all time. My Mom even threatened me to be put out of the car and made to walk home. Didn't even stop them. Or maybe I knew she wouldn't do it. She is a softy!!! Sugar stops them every time.

On Super bowl sunday,I saw something similar. I guess in Mexico, if you get the hiccups, someone covers your ears while you drink a glass of water. One of the gals i was with, got the hiccups and someone did this with them....POOF...gone!!

Yep, that's exactly what I do. It's the only thing that works for me.

Take a glass of water & you bend over & drink from the far side of the glass. It sounds silly but it really does work.
