This forum, of course long ago used to be so nice to come to, there were lots and lots of great posts, great freebies etc. Now there are just a bunch of complainers(NOT EVERYONE) whinning about not getting seated at a restaurant because they are better than everyone else or just complainers all together, this site is going in the pooper and fast.

ummm....that's what this forum is for....complaining. And you're complaining, (or whineing) too, so i guess you posted in the right place. :D

And I've been here a long time and Vent/whine has always been this way, or even a lot worse.

A lot of webboard at one point were enjoyable, laid back, entertaining to visit. When you get a mix of different personalities, there tends to be head butting @ some point or another. I don't think this site is as bad as a lot I have seen. I have seen webboards where people will rip you a new one. They are like hens, when one gets to pecking, they all jump in and tear a poster apart.

I personally, laugh at a lot of the threads/posts, even the most asinine. I can find humor in almost anything. I doesn't even bother me when people complain.

I think what the OP meant was BBS back in the day,when we (all of us) could come here and have some fun.When the board got strict it became less of a fun place. Don't get me wrong I still like BBS,but it was better a few years back when people didn't come here with sticks up their anus. Oh, can I say anus here? lol We could come here joke around,yes granted sometimes threads got carried away,but that was because people said "OH,my God,my child reads this board" since when do little kids come and read computer boards.We had a few young members cappuccino 007,she was a teen and posted great freebies,mini was a joy....there are several great members who because of the tight security on BBS chose to leave and of course a lot who were in club banned for really no apparent good reason,not to us regular members anyways.We had trolls,which we had fun with.I was trolled but ya know,I had fun with it,can't always be so serious...people will not like people "just because" .

Everyone has different opinions,that's what make life interesting.There are boards that if you are not republican and voice it...they'll banish you because your opinion is not of theirs...see what I mean.

So true Davesbabydoll. Some people are so rigid and hateful. And yes I like to read the vent/whine, it makes my life a look like it isn't so bad, but when you can't make a far out statement just so people can back off a little bit it is sad!

The board has definitely gone downhill since 3 or 4 years ago, you make a comment that you think is innocent and people tend to read a bit too deeply into it and think that you're being rude to them which causes bickering. I gave up on this board a while ago and was hoping to come back but it doesn't seem to have improved that much just from reading that crazy top post, couldn't figure that one out for the life of me lol. I do like to read vent/whine though, it either makes me laugh or makes me feel a bit better about anything I go through.

I agree with you. We use to be able to kid each other about lots of things then I don't know what happened. People started getting banned over the silliest things. The place got a new tone to it and everyone started to watch what they posted. Overly senstive people joined I guess.

Now we have other sites all over but everyone is so scattered it's not fun. Some new boards won't post anything that is even a little out on the edge---no fun there. I like one board where the admin. says I don't want anyone coming whining to me if they don't receive any Christmas cards. LOL---she is so smart.

I guess mods need to take that attitude. You joined, you're here, you know what to expect. I don't like anyone being picked on but ya gotta lighten up sometimes. Some posts still need to be taken off but I don't see many of them in that catagory.

I find myself posting less and less. It's kind of a pain when everytime you post something you have 5 people jump on it and put words in your mouth that were never there to begin with. But hey, if someone is so bored in life that they have to get their jollies by reading too far into something----have fun but I'm tired of getting all up in arms trying to make people understand what I mean.

If we can't find humor in ourselves then how can we expect to find it in others? Life is to short. Just remember, no matter how bad you feel or think your situation is, there is many others who are in much worse situations. Vent, whine, get it out, then go take a nice long shower, a walk, or find something to make yourself feel better. Why, Because I said so! :p
