Just got the call from my doc...they upped my glucophage from 1000 mg's a day to 1500 mgs a day. I've been taking this stuff for 3 years now. Hormones are still not doing good. This SUCKS!

If I were you I'd start to ask my doctor how much he knows about hormones and to refer you to a specialist. It is typical for doctors to up the dosage when things do not seem to be working when all this does is throw your system more out of wack. Hormones is one of those things that the medical community knows little about. Start doing some research at the library and you may discover that all you need is a better diet.

My husbands doctors keep upping his blood presseure and cholesterol meds. He has been on them for over 10 years. Cholesterol is produced in the liver and with his family history I was against him taking the meds. Diet also helps but by cutting out all cholesterol his body just produced more. It is crazy. Talk to your doctor and maybe find a new one.
