I went and had my nails done about 6 weeks ago...I cant afford to have them filled, How I remove them? The acrylic ( I guess that is what it is ) is starting to chip away and you can tell from the growth that I had them done...Does anyone know how to get them off? Thanks in advance

Well, I have never had them but I did a search and found this.

Tip: Removing Fake Nails
In order to remove fake nails, you must soak your nails in an acitone based nail polish remover until the fake nails peel off. If you try to remove them other ways, you will ruin your nails. Using fake nails will damage your nails but removing them incorrectly will make the damage much worse. Soaking is the only solution!
Tip: Removing Fake Nails
I always suggest you go to a nail salon and have them soak the artificial nails off. They use acetone or a nail polish remover that has acetone in it. The technician can watch to make sure that you don’t soak too long and help you remove the nails. If you must do it yourself, then I suggest you purchase a polish remover that has acetone and a conditioner. You will need to soak them for a while and then gently peak the product off your nails.

It takes a long soak. I found that it helps after soaking for about 5 or 10 min to toke a nail file and see if any are lifting then put back in to soak. that way the remover gets underneath

At the salon I go to they charge $10 to remove the nails so I usually just take mine off myself. What I do is cut them down and then slowly lift them off with a metal nail file or tweezers. I leave them off for a while and then when I get sick of looking at my own nails I get another set put on. lol

I have had solar nails for years and every once in awhile I will take them off. At a local pharmacy (Walgreens) they have a little container that is better than plain old acetone. It takes it off pretty quickly. soak and then gently scrub the layers away. It will eventually all come off. Remember to always put a strenghtener on for about a week or so, because they are going to be thin and very weak.
