You have such a cute granddaughter! My older son is in 7th grade this year and won't be going out. My younger son still has his Spongebob Squarepants costume that fits him from last year. Since money is tight (understatement), he will be going as the yellow sponge again.

I think we are gonna go get costumes for the two little ones today. Harley is unsure what he wants to be. Either a ninja, Batman or something from Star Wars, I think. lol

I'll probably get Courtney one of those Care Bear outfits, I think they are sooooo cute.

Chris isn't going to trick or treating this year but he wants to dress up to scare everyone. lol So I'll pick him some stuff up here and there between now and Halloween.

update! Found one today at KMart....the girl was so sweet to check the back store room and found a box of Ninja Turtles costumes on the bottom of a stack of boxes on a pallet and dug it out for us! Opened it up and got my ds a red turtle costume! (and they were on sale too! 25% off!)

I am going to be a Titanic "survivor".... ;)

The costume consists of a navy blue dress, nice silky button-up; a navy pull on hat, very nice velvety material; navy velvet coat; my pearl necklace, earrings, and bracelet; and my high heel velveteen mary-jane shoes...

The kicker is the makeup, my white face and blackened eyes and lips....

and the tire accesory to wear around my side! (white rescue tire with "u.s.s titanic" on it)

OR If the fiance decides to dress up, we shall be frankenstein and the bride of frankenstein since he is 6'8"!!!

It is cute! Will try to get pictures!

I thought I was a head of the game I bought thier costumes last yr at Kohls the day after Halloween. I pulled them out last week. THey are too big for the twins. So yesterday the Twin Group I belong to had an Outgrown sale and I was able to pick out a Bee costume for her and a Bear for him. I paid $5.00 and $3.00 for it. I sold their costumes from last yr thier Spider and Lady bug I put $5.00 on for each. So it was more like an even trade. Hopefully the costumes that I got from Kohls will fit next year. Will post pics when I can

Update on mine.......

Harley is going to be a ninja. My mom has the costume for it and is going to mail it out to us today.

Courtney... I have no idea. We looked for a Care Bear outfit and all we could find were smaller sizes. :( She needs like a 4-6 and the ones we found were 2T - 3T and smaller. All the other costumes in her size seem to be dresses and I don't want her to wear a dress since its usually chilly out on Halloween and I don't want her to get sick. Ugh! Hopefully I'll find something soon, if not I'll have to hit the search places and see what I can make her.

Chris can't decide what he wants to be, so as of now he has nothing. Teens!

;) Last year for a "benefit" party we went to (a group from hubby's work) we went as Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. I managed to find bruise temp tattoos that looked so real people asked both of us if I had hurt myself.

This year I found a pair of black glittery wings that I loved, so I told him that we would have to work around my wings! I think I am going as a black butterfly/moth with spiderwebs wrapped around my body, and I am making my husband a spider back with legs, and we are making him the spider. I hope that the costumes turn out okay.

My son decided to be that character from the Scream movie. We got his costume on Saturday. I was hoping he would get the wolf costume because then I was going to go as Little Red Riding Hood but he wanted to Scream costume. Last year we had planned to go as the Big Bad Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood but it didn't work out that way. I ended up going as a witch. lol He had wanted to go as Michale Myers from the Halloween movies but the only masks I could find were on ebay and they were expensive. I was outbid on two of them and both auctions ended for over $40. I just can't see paying that much money for a mask that he's only going to wear for a couple of hours.
