I am posting this thread for all of you just to find out if, by any chance, you or anyone else that you know may have been able to record the former Saturday morning NBC series "Saved By The Bell: The New Class" on a VHS tape when it aired during most of the 1990's. "Saved By The Bell: The New Class" was a teen-oriented series set at Bayside High School and was a part of NBC's "TNBC" lineup from 1993 through the 1999-2000 television season. The show lasted seven seasons, with a total of 143 episodes filmed. The main cast members during various seasons included Sarah Lancaster, Natalia Cigliuti, Richard Lee Jackson, Samantha Becker, Ben Gould, Anthony Harrell, Lindsey McKeon, Ashley Lyn Cafagna, Dustin Diamond, and Dennis Haskins.
If you or anyone else that you know did record any episodes of "Saved By The Bell: The New Class" from any of the seven seasons when it originally aired on NBC during the 1990's, please send an e-mail back to me immediately. Be sure to include the total number of "Saved By The Bell: The New Class" episodes that you or your acquaintance recorded. My e-mail address is
[email protected].
The picture quality is also important. On a scale of 1 (awful) to 10 (excellent), I will accept no episodes lower than a 7.
Thank you.
(Extremely important notes: I do not have a DVD set at home, so even though "Saved By The Bell: The New Class" is currently releasing season-by-season on DVD at video stores nationwide, I can only accept the old-fashioned method of episodes on a VHS tape. Also, for reasons regarding professionalism in terms of its original network, I will only accept episodes of this show recorded from its air dates on NBC. Please do not send me any episodes from its syndicated running dates on the cable channel USA, as it will make me and other people think that the show was on the USA Network for all seven seasons when in fact it was not.)

Wouldn't it be cheaper to get a DVD player? I paid about $22 for mine...

Yes, I do understand that a DVD player might be cheaper. Unfortunately, I live in a low-income family and we cannot yet afford to puchase a DVD player. We have four television sets at home; two of them have a VHS recorder.

I'm just curious why you are being so picky about which channel the show was taped from. Wouldn't you be happy to just have tapes of the show. Why does it matter which channel it was taped from?

good question. who cares what station it was recorded from. if you're that desperate to get it, you should be happy with what is sent.
sounds kinda suspicious to me.......even for a newbie. his first post was asking for extremly specific episodes of "SK8".
are you selling these??

I am "picky" because when "Saved By The Bell: The New Class" was on NBC, it was a part of the network's 'TNBC' lineup. This show, along with other 'TNBC' shows (in which aired on Saturday mornings) were all excellent programs. I want to re-live the days when NBC's 'TNBC' shows had high TV ratings. Furthermore, the "E/I" symbol (which stands for educational and informational programming) can be seen on the bottom right-hand corner of the television screen during the opening credits. The symbol is a government requirement and it stresses the importance of educational programming content towards the teenage audience.
Thank you.

No, I am not selling "SK8" or "Saved By The Bell: The New Class." I am just a regular television fan like the rest of you folks and I want the tapes simply for personal entertainment and enjoyment.

Who woulda thunk it... Saved By the Bell as Educational Television.
I do agree, though, if you aren't selling them and you already KNOW they originally aired on NBC then you are simply asking too much. If you really wanted then you'd take 'em how you could get 'em or do w/out.

being the really nosey one here in bbs, :D , i did a little digging. if you do a google search on david lumpkins, you'll find that this guy seems OBSESSED with finding this video and the one called SK8. he's got it posted in sooo many different forums that i just couldnt keep it straight. this just seems really 'suspicious' to me.
also, if you do a search on his id here....qweiop, you get quite a read too. i noticed he makes 1-2 posts in each forum and then never goes back.
and within a year, he lists his locations as philly, boston, and michigan.
