Did Anyone Ever Notice?

Vent/Whine is set up under Deals Discussion? The original intention of this sub-forum was to vent/whine about deals gone bad. Man, it has taken on its own personality hasn't it?

nope,, cant say i ever noticed that. I never saw any rules about it having to do with deal discussions, so i just assumed it was vent and whine about anything.

i think when most people vent about a bad deal, they do it in the post they are referring to.

Actually "I remember back when" it was basically just about deals and people ripping you off in the fsot. The next thing you know, "I know this isn't about a deal...but I just had to vent..." and there you go. lol

But, I had not really thought about it until this morning I just happened to notice the forum that it is located in. Not that it really matters....was just something to talk about.

I have a different user ID. I was not really around for about a year because I lost interest. I only came and checked out the freebies and fsot every once in a while

The "rules" were added at a later date once it started becoming more of a debating forum. But anyways, if you think about it....it is under Deals Discussions...if it was originally intended for todays use, then it would have been under General Discussions, which makes sense.

But all of of this is neither here nor there, it was just an observance that I happened to make this morning and a thought that went thru my head as I awaited my first cup of coffee.

I've been around since early 2001 (I changed my log-on for similar reasons), and have noticed a LOT of changes to the forums, many for the worse. This one, however, has always been a great place to go to. Luckily it seems that lately BBS has gotten back to its old self with the forums. :D

I never knew that this was originally for complaining about deals.. huh. (was before my time) But I always wondered why it wasn't under general discussions. :)
