Its getting to where you cant afford to go to work. Its 2.89 here...It cost me a hundred bucks to fill my tank in my van and it lasts maybe a week and a half. I dont work in the same county I live. Its scary because the job I used to have went over seas and it took me forever to find another one now I am working again but its hard toi keep gas in the tank....Frustrating to say the least. I am sorry yours is so hig, OMGosh over 3 dollars a gallon thats awful!

It ranged anywhere from $3.05-3.19 in my area of Detroit. Uggggggggh! I am so glad I don't drive. The bus prices have remained the same for now, but we shall see.

OMG I cannot believe how expensive it is especially in the midwest! I thought Vegas was high, but we can still get it for around $2.70. I guess I'm glad to not be back there right now.. geesh! And so very thankful that my vehicle doesn't guzzel gas. :o

That sounds like hubbys truck. He fills it up on Monday and if we're lucky it will last until the following Monday to fill back up. That truck holds alot of gas! He would trade it in for a small car if he could but with his job he can't. He has to have the truck to haul his tools in. He was out of work all summer and just finally got back to work. There is no other openings around here as far as jobs go. He loves his job so he's not going to quit and hope to find a new job. There is no buses or anything where we live so we either walk or drive. I'm guessing that I'll be doing ALOT of walking from now on. There's a few days that my MIL can take the kids to school on her way to work. I'll just be taking the kids to school and going no where else. :( Its sad when you spend more money on gas then on food. :( I do NOT want to see the bill for heating the house this winter!! Its definitely time for a new more energy efficient furnace!!! Its wonderful when you have to chose between gas in the vehicle to get to work, food on the table or heat for the house.

I don't think that is correct, I just checked gasbuddy for them and the highest it is is $3.99, which that is really high but not 5.97 high. Wow when gas gets that much there is no way I'll be driving anymore. :o
Anyways here is the link to it http://www.atlantagasprices.com/

Well I take back my above statement. Apparantly someone just drove by a gas station and it was $6.50/gallon in Atlanta. HOLY COW! That is just ridiculous they are gouging consumers.
