Help! I'd like to order some flowers.......

I'd like to order some flowers for a funeral. Some people that lived in the community where I grew up was killed in an accident. It was a mother and son. :( I was good friends with some of them and would like to send flowers. How do I go about doing it? I've never done it before. Can I use a place online? Are there any places that will deliver flowers to the funeral and just send me a bill for them? That would work best for me right now. TIA!

Most usually you can call a local flower shop in your town, and they can take the order and find a florist in the area of the funeral. I don't know how you pay or anything, but I know you can call any shop that is a tele-florist.

While I'm at it.. I'd like to request prayer for the family. They just lost their Dad last year to cancer and now they have lost their mom and brother. :( My heart breaks for them. I can't even imagine how they feel right now. I used to be really good friends with one of the girls in the family. They were (I think) 8 kids all together. 4 boys and 4 girls. Now the are 3 boys and 4 girls and no parents. :(

I just found out some more info on the accident. It was the mom, her son (also referring to him as oldest son), his son and daughter and a cousin of the oldest sons in the car. They had been to another state to pick up the oldest sons little girl. They had been gone all day and was trying to drive straight back to WV without stopping for rest. Well the oldest son was driving and fell alseep. They were about 2 hours or so from home. It flipped the car and ejected them from it. It killed the mom and oldest son. The two little kids and the cousin were stratched up, but not seriously hurt.

I would probably call a local shop and order something...they will ask your price range and can make up whatever you ask, and around here most of them will bill you so you don't need a CC. The last funeral I sent to, I did a little resin angel and it was very well recieved by the family.

I was thinking of some kind of angel arrangement too. I'm going to look up some flower shops in their town and see what I can find. My family still lives there, so surely some of them can give me some numbers. I just feel so bad for them and want to send something but wasn't sure how to go about doing it from out of state. It will be cheaper to call a local florist and pay for it with a credit card over the phone. You won't have all the additional charges of doing it on line. Plus a local florist will know the family and know what is going on. You can look the town up on line and put in Florist in the Yellow pages section and find a florist.

They were on their way back to Logan County. Thats where I grew up too.

I'm in Upshur County, so I am in the central part of the state (as I'm sure you know if you grew up in the state). My best friend is in Kanawha County.
