i think your monitor might be getting ready to go. mine did that, however it took about a year for it to finally die on me. i dont suggest letting it actually die on you though, omg the smell is HORRIBLE. took 2 hours to get the smell to stop lingering despite using frebreeze and oust every 30 minutes.

You could try degaussing it,sometimes that helps.

It might be your video card also.

How do you check to see if it's the video card? Thanks

what's that?

That's in the part on your monitor where you adjust brightness and stuff.
I guess I'll start saving for a new monitor if I can't get anything else to work.
BTW, that didn't work for me. What if I do a restore? Think that might help?

I don't see how doing a restore would help.

Have you checked all the connections, like from your monitor to your PC? Check to make sure the video card itself is seated properly. When we moved a couple of months ago, I got some flickering on my monitor and it was because the card was loose. Have you updated the drivers for your video card lately? Sometimes uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers helps, even if they're updated already.

And it might be your monitor too. Not a lot of help, huh?

I update everything that I have listed in my Windows Updates is that
what you are talking about? Where is the video card? I checked all my connections and they are fine. I don't know much about the maintence
of a computer sorry. Not when it comes to removing parts anyway.

Lilo, maybe someone else can come along and explain it better
but there is a degaussing button in the same area you mess with the
contrast and brightness. It makes the screen shake is the only way I can
explain it.

your video card is located in your computer tower. i honestly think it's your monitor dying a slow death. you might want to check outpost.com for a new one, they have a 17" crt flat screen for $89, which i know is way cheaper than walmart.
