is bottled water any different than what comes from the kitchen sink?
I really wonder if i am wasting my money/gas/time going to the store each week to purchase bottles of water to take to work.
what do you think?
it is starting to get expensive, thats another reason i ask.

OK, I give up - your sister gave birth to bottled water? LOL Anyway, back to your question. Once or twice a month, when I'm out somewhere, I might buy a bottle of water. I keep the bottle, fill it from my tap, and carry it to work. Unless your tap water has a nasty taste, you are wasting your money buying bottled water. (Just my opinion.)

What in the world! lmbo!! I think it really depends on where you live, my tap water tastes like crap. I always buy my drinking water. To me there is a big difference but I really think it just depends on where you live...Also some waters have added vitamins...

Did your sister give birth or were you being trixy with us....lmbo

im confused too. but my boro's water is like that so i bought a pur facet mounted filter, takes that taste out of the water, and saves soooooooo much money.

LOL when the page loaded and I saw the title, I didn't think I clicked on a thread about bottled water. So congrats to your sister!

As for the water, Dateline or 20/20 did an investigation about it that included evian, kmart brand, some other brands one was french and new york city water. They did a blind taste test and more ppl chose the taste over the new york city water! I believe Kmart came in second and the french came in second to last and guess what came in last place? yep.. that really expensive evian water. I tried to find the link, but am having no luck, hope that answers your q

Well since we are on the subject of water, I love the artesian Fiji water. I never used to drink plain water until I tried the Fiji water. It's expensive so I don't buy it that often but it's really good. It's $6 for six half liter bottles of it.

i have a water filter on my kitchen sink, and use a filtered pitcher of water in the refridgerator too. i bought 4, 6 packs of water in May (because it was on sale, and i had coupons), and i still have some of them left. i re-use each bottle about 2 or 3 times, filling it from the sink or fridge water. i'll refill a bottle half way, then freeze it overnight. the next morning, fill it with water, and it stays cold several hours.

i cant taste the difference in any bottled waters, or my filtered water.

Everywhere I've lived out here in AZ the water has tasted nasty. I have a Brita filter that mounts under the sink. Makes the water and coffee taste so much better.

NYC water tastes good because it comes from upstate NY from the mountains. It isn't local at all. Our local water (tap water) here is good. No funky tastes.

I buy a bottle every once in a while but then when I get home I fill it to within an ince with water and freeze it. We have well water and it is great. I remember hearing that a lot of the bottled water you buy in the store are filled from municiple water sources and are nothing special. Some are spring water and some are purified. You just gotta read the lable because by law they are suppose to tell you the source on the lable. :D
