Do a google search on spiders. I would do it for you but I was bitten by a brown recluse and I hate spiders. Actually two spiders have bitten me but the last one wasn't poisionous. This one doesn't look poisionous either but don't take chances, they can still bite.

spider fact time...did you know the most poisonous spider in the world is the daddy long legs? they just can't bite through human skin since they have super delicate fangs.

Could it be some type of aphid? WE have red aphids here that just attack my plants. Some of them are quite larger than others and they look very similar to your creature. For curiosity sake, go to the book store or library and see if you can find a pic and description about it.

I don't know if it's the same, but it looks similar - I can't remember the name, but I had some on my tomato and squash plants this year - the guy at the garden center said they eat smaller bugs from the plants, and wouldn't hurt mine. And they didn't.

Like I said, it looks very similar, except it was more orange on the back.

Ive been tryin to figure out this exact same thing. Been seeing them alot around here. First one I seen was crawling across my oldest DD's foot til she seen it and went to kicking and screaming.

YUCK! Glad it's there than here. It looks so nasty and scary and sends creepy crawlies up my spine!

*lilo* I did know that! Good thing too, since I used to play w/ them all the time, now I'm scared to death of spiders... go figure

You can always go to this site and post that picture. They will let you know what type of bug it is.
