My step daughter is down for the summer and I can't believe some of the clothes she is wearing. She is only 15 and she is dressing like (pardon my words a sleeze).
The short short skirts, halter tops, short shorts rolled down, tube tops....When we go out I have made her go and change her clothes on a # of occasions because I have found it in appropriate for what we do.
Then she gives me attitude about it.
Is summer over yet? I am ready for it to be!! :D

Yes, they are getting pretty bad. Don't get me wrong, some of the clothes are cute but some of the girls wearing them are way to young.

I agree with ya'll. My DD will be 7 tomm and about 2-3 weeks ago she had a end of baseball season party at the local Pizza hut. She has spent the day with my MIL so I met them up there, she had on a pair of low rider hip huggers and one of those short, tight shirts with the sleeves that barely held onto the shoulder! I was not happy. I told her that those were ok for at the house but were not to be worn in public again. Of course, my MIL got upset and left but thats ok, its my daughter! lol

I totally agree! I even think our shorts are getting shorter! I went looking for shorts a few years ago and they were pretty high up.. I really had to shop around to find one at a decent length where my butt wasn't hanging out. I think it's a bit ridiculous that they are making them shorter but it's also part of the parents fault for buying crap like that.

Yeah its bad when you dont have the butt to show off those butt huggers! LOL jk

Shorts are wayyy outta control..I went with my friend to the mall a couple weeks ago to help her look for some pants an we went through the lil girls section an I was shocked..some of those shorts are barely there! I think we are going back in time when leaves an pieces of a cloth were good enough.

I like to wear short shorts myself and I love my tank tops, I don't really care for tube tops. The thing that makes me laugh is the girls wearing the shorts that unbutton and unzip them and roll down the top of them to make them show off their stomach, it looks SO ridiculous lol. I think the stuffs fine for older teens but have you seen some of the little skanky skirts they are putting out for ages 6+? Its crazy, some of them are cute but some are ridiculously trashy looking.

YES! SO true! I have seen it and it makes me ill. I dispise the new jeans they have, the "pelvis" cut jeans..........right above indecent exposure! ALSO, what really gets me is alot of younger employees decide to wear what they want, and should not dare.............especially in the casual workplace or any workplace at that!

The dads really need to step in and talk to their daughters here. Girls will listen to a man hopefully their father. If he tells them they are not to wear sleezy clothes I think they will listen more than a woman telling them. Especially a step-mom. IMO

And I'm also glad I just has SSs.

I saw the absolute most disgusting thing today. I'm overweight myself and I wouldn't be caught dead in it... I wouldn't say this girl was obese, but not skinny either... and she was walking into CVS wearing these white see through shorts that went all up her crack, showed about 4 inches of the bottom of her butt (cellulite and all) and had the worst case of cameltoes I've ever seen... it was horrible... even if you HAVE a body that can pull something like that off, it's more appropriate for someplace like the beach than a freakin CVS... I was so disgusted.

I ALSO AGREE!. I went looking for shorts yesterday......all the stores had were there low rise short inseamed things. I had no luck. My husband found 2 pair with no problem. They really need to look at what they are selling in stores........I know everyone is out to make a buck....but come on.....My daughter is 5 and I have a hard time finding shorts that dont' either fall off of her or make her look like she is wearing an infants clothes......
kids are trying to "fit in" while they are looking like crap.........I agree that everyone has their own opinion and taste, but some are overdoing it a bit. If you want to go without clothes........stay home......LOL

and please don't wear the belly shirts if you have toooooo much belly
We were at a ball game the other day and this girl was a little overweight and had on jeans 3 sizes too small, and shirt that could fit my daughter and thongs........she was sitting right in front of a family with a little boy about 5 or 6. Everyone time she moved you could see her thongs. She musta felt a little self concious about it cause she kept pulling them up........OK WHY WEAR THEM IF THEY ARE NOT COMFORTABLE????

I don't know where I was going with this........but yes I agree.....clothing is getting too short, to tight, and too high......on the belly

As far as the rise of the pants goes the fashion people actually tell you that if you're overweight or thick through the middle to wear a medium rise pant. All of my jeans are medium rise. At first I was like there is no way I will be able to wear pants below my belly button but once I got used to them I would never wear high waisted pants again. They actually elongate you instead of making you look choppy. I would never wear belly shirts though.
