I found out today...

That I have knee spurs! I fell out the back door about a month ago (DS had left a bat at the back door and my first step out the door was on that!) Needless to say I fell and hurt my ankle. Which in turn made my knee hurt. Well, I finally went to the DR. today and the xrays showed 3 or 4 spurs on my knee! They did not come from the fall, they were already there, but the fall aggrivated things. ( I am only 32 and he said I was young for that!) I have to go to physical therapy for a few times to learn these excercises that I am to do daily now. Hopefully that will help. Does anyone else have these on their knee and what are you doing to take care of them? I pray that I will not have to have surgery! I am a big baby! :( Anyway, just want to know if anyone else has this also and things that might help.

My brother just had surgery on his knee and he also had spurs on it. He injured his leg years ago but reinjured it a few months ago and they also found spurs. They removed the spurs and rebuilt some cartilage (sp?) for his knee. He's been on crutches for about 2 weeks and will have physical therapy for a while.

I hope you feel better I was only 29 when I had my knee surgery it isnt so bad it only took me 2 years and 2 surgerys to recover
