Thought I would share some pics of our bathroom remodel. Will never do this again. It was worth it in the end to have the whirlpool tub.

Not sure I'm truely liking the shower curtain.... but since I paid so much I'm gonna live with it for awhile.

Shower curtain is growing on me slowly. Each paycheck I run to Kohl's and pick up another matching accessory that coordinates with the curtain. DH thinks I am crazy. He may be right..... never thought I would live to see the day I spend $17 for a toothbrush holder, $14 for a drink tumbler. Still want to pick up the night light.... killing me to pay another $17 for it though. Once I get the towels I'm calling it quits on accessorizing.

I have a Martha Stewart shower curtain and all the accesories in my bathroom so I know what you mean. lol I like the fabric curtains because they last forever. I still use a white plastic liner with it even though on the fabric curtain it says you don't have to. I have had this set up for over a year now so I will be changing it soon. Here is a pic of mine. I posted this here before so you may have already seen it........

I like the assortment of colors in your curtain. Makes it easier when trying to accessorize. I was trying to pull color from the flooring when I was looking for the shower curtain. Ended up close colorwise. I really wanted the walls a terra cotta color but DH over ruled me and had to have the blueish gray, which I like but it seems like our bathroom has been some shade of blue for the past 18 years. I was at the point by the time the paint went on the walls that I could of cared less.

I never realized how many decisions would have to be made when redoing this room, not to mention how costly it ended up being. By the time it was done we had NOTHING left of the orginal room.... not even light switch cover. I was hell bent that we were going with the brushed nickel fixtures and we did.... down to the small detail like switch covers and cabinet knobs.

It looks wonderful! I love your kitty (and yours Patchouli)! So cute! Your bathroom looks great, it's almost the exact set up of my bathroom that we are going to eventually re-do. What kind of tub did you use? Do you like it? I'm trying to talk Luke into letting me get a jacuzzi tub. :D *crossing fingers* I've got my shower curtain picked out and it's $40.. haven't brought myself to buy it and have liked it for oh... about six months now. I want an asian inspired bathroom and found the perfect curtian (LOL) it's called asian inspiration. ;) I would do stainless steel accessories though b/c I don't think it comes with any matching ones. But of course I will get ones that are on sale. :D This is a pic of it http://www.lnt.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1351328 I would like to do turquoise colored walls, what do you think? Ok.. sorry hijacking your thread. But it really looks wonderful, I ADORE your lights (and your kitty!) ;) Good Job!

Awww cute kitties :) Patch, Your cat looks just like a cat I used to have. Her name was Baby. The only difference is she had a black spot on her side and on her back. She looked like a little cow. I miss her. She would have been almost 11 years old. She stayed behind at my dad's when I moved out about 6 years ago. After my dad passed on, I dont know what happened to my kitty.

We did a whirlpool tub that fits in the standard size tub opening, except much deeper than a regular tub. Got ours at Home Depot cost just under $700.

I like the shower curtain. Turquoise color should work or maybe a deep redish color..... more burgundy in tone than red persay. Home Depot has some bronze/ brownish fixtures that that may look cool.

I agree. I think a red or burgundy would look great. Its just what I always picture with the asian theme. I love the shower curtain too. I found an asian style blanket set that I want to get my oldest son for his room. :D

Thanks for letting me hijack your thread. I wanted to do a red, but my roommate (who owns the house) doesn't want red since my room is bright red.. ralph lauren mai tai from HD. I would do stainless steel or brushed nickel, I don't like gold or bronze and neither does he.

I'll have to look at the tubs better, he keeps telling me that they won't fit in the space, but obviously yours did. :D I keep telling him that I'll give up the toilet for a jucuzzi tub that is how much I want it. :p Or get a smaller cabnet since it's pretty big. We shall see. Thanks for the ideas. :)

There ARE whirlpool tubs that are made to fit in standard tub length area. They are a couple of inches wider side to side. Biggest difference is the depth...if I remember right the whirlpool tub is about 12 inched higher than a standard tub. Our biggest obstacle was making sure once the tub was in that there was still enough space between the tub and the toilet. and we did go with a much shorter vanity cabinet.

I love the look of brushed nickel fixtures... they cost more but I think it was worth it.

I'm so excited for you getting to enjoy that beautiful bathroom. I haven't actually done any measuring but it looked like the tubs I looked at would fit. :) I'm totally measuring now, watch out, he's in trouble. :D :p I def. want a deeper tub, I had a roman tub in the condo and going to this "mini tub" as I refer to it has not been fun. It wouldn't be so bad, but there's not one big tub in the house, just a shower in the master. :( *pout* lol.. ok so I was spoiled a little in the past. :) But we do have a nice "spa" aka hot tub in the backyard w/ a nice pool so maybe that is why they didn't find it important to have a nice tub? Where were their priorities... lol.

Anyways it really looks terrific and I'm so happy for you... are you available this summer to help me out now? I'll let you out to play in Vegas a few times while you're here. ;) hehe... maybe.
