Almost obscene ad on freebie page

Was anyone else offended by the ad for the romance page that is on the freebie page for BBF? It has a girl bending over a car - and she has on a thong or something - shows EVERYTHING! My daughter comes on here to look for teen freebies - that ad is just a bit too much!

I was just thinking the same thing a few minutes ago. It's not a very nice ad to have on a site that is "allegedly" a family site.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing... I don't have kids, but as soon as I saw it I thought 'some family site this is'. However, I'm fairly certain that Alex really couldn't care less what we think, he is, afterall, part owner of bluetime or whatever that company is that hosts the banners... so I'm pretty sure as long as he gets his money off clicks that he's gonna keep staying away... I think even the mods got sick of it... isn't mom2jal the only one left now?

Yes, I think mom2jal is the only mod left now. A couple of them left and won't even come to BBS because of problems they have had with their computers due to the trojans. Even if we all complained to Alex I don't think it would do any good because like you said he's making money off of it and that's all he cares about.

For those who may not know, if you use Firefox Browser, and see a picture in an add you don't want to see again, you can right click on the picture, and in the menu that pops up, click on "Block Images from ....". You will no longer have to look at any more pictures from any ads from that website.

This was my problem w/ firefox... but, I finally got sick of it and went to tools/adblock/preferences and put in my own thingie... I put in http://images.bluetime.com/bluetime/* and it effectively blocks them all from this site so I no longer have to click.

That's too funny. lol I was thinking the same thing yesterday when I was at the mall. The things that some people will wear. :eek: I am not making fun of them because I am also over weight. I guess I'm a people watcher and I have always been told that I'm very observant. lol When I see someone dressed in a certain way I say to myself I would never wear something like that. I would never go up to the person and say hey your fat you shouldn't dress like that. It's just something that I think to myself. Unless you have the figure for it there are certain things that you just shouldn't wear. I won't even wear shorts in the summer because I'm over weight. I prefer long skirts. I wear a size 18 which isn't as big as some of the people I have seen that dress very skimpy. I know it's summer time now and you need to dress to stay cool but you don't need to have your fat hanging out for all to see.

Oh I agree. I know I wouldn't look good dressed in skimpy clothing so I choose not to wear it. Even if I had the shape for it I wouldn't wear some of the clothes that I've seen some of these big girls wearing. lol

my Nortons anti virus scanner also has pop up blocker, and ad blocker. if you have Nortons, see if you can activate that too.

The solution is very simple. If you don't like the ads their are ways to block all of them.

I have been here for awhile, and seen the board change for the worse with a bunch of pop-ups. However I also realize that since the internet boom has decreased considerably over time site owners have had to resort to banners.

This site was pop up banner free for a long time which was enjoyable, but if the site owner is not making any money from referrals and deals like before then what does everyone expect?

Does everyone think that this site is a free operation just because they send away for freebies? Let's be realistic. So if you are offended by the picture just download one of those programs suggested in this thread.

yes, we realize that this site is not free to run.......but lets have a little better taste and class in what kind of advertisers they choose.

As for what people watch on TV, believe it or not, some people actually censor what they do and do not watch on TV.

No you can't. You can shield what they see on this computer better than you can in public. My children didn't see that ad, because they don't get on the computer unless I'm standing over their shoulders, I can't be over their shoulders in public all the time.
Also she's not nude, they'll see a lot more at any beach, pool or like I said just people walking down the street or in the stores.
BTW I'm not saying this kind of stuff should be put on this kind of site, I'm just agreeing with the 'mountain/molehill' idea.

He is part OWNER of bluetime (according to recent posts)... he isn't going to turn them off, not when a lot of the ppl here aren't aware that he's been tricking them and are still clicking on the ads (a couple of months ago, they even had trojans embedded in them)... that wouldn't line his pocket if he did that.
