I have a polyp on my urethra opening. My pee-pee hole, lol. Anyone ever heard of this? They are going to cut it of and do a cysto. Plus send dye into my body and watch it go about on exray. I am pretty scared to have this done. But I have had so many UTI's I hope this helps.

My mother had polyps in her uterus that they removed several years ago. She was really nervous too, but the surgery hardly took much time at all, and it was an outpaitent procedure. It seemed like she had more time with the after effects of the anesthia and all that.
I wish you luck and prayers. You should do well! ;)

I hope things go well for you. UTIs are very uncomforatble! Hopefully this will be the end of them for you!

I had that same dye put through my veins to check my urinary tract. It wasn't uncomfortable at all. Pretty simple in fact. I have UTI's all the time until my Urologist gave me a miracle antibiotic called Levaquin. I take it at the onset of any pain when urinating. I haven't had one in two years or so. (knock on wood).
good luck with your surgury , hang in there.

Good luck! UTI's suck so much, surely this is a light at the end of the urethra(I mean tunnel-lol!) :D Please let us know how it works out, I have a friend with the same problem who only treats the end result, not the cause.

Good luck on your procedure. I am an OR nurse and we do these all the time. Takes no time at all.
