I have an emachine computer that died on Monday evening. Spent 35 minutes on the phone to find out that emachines does not honor Circuit City's guarantee....then the new GE side by side refridgerator (only 2 years old) is leaking water and not keeping thing cold on either side freeezer or fridgerator......called the warranty company--and the repairman called to say he dont come all the way down where i live so now I have to call and request another repairman and still no freaking cold in the fridge.....Is it me or is it the world we live in I had an ugly yellow refridgerator up until 2 years ago for about 25 years and it never never gave me a problem.....but go buy a new one and see what happens????????

Here is a suggestion you can try that might help.Take everyone off the top of your fridge and make sure there is nothing blocking the sides. Also pull the fridge out away from the wall.I hope this helps.my brother had problems with his and this is what he did and now his fridge is working fine.

my girlfriend had a new fancy, expensive fridge that would not keep things frozen or cold. She paid $50 for a repairman who removed a piece of cardboard that was blocking a fan blade. It runs perfect now.

If your refrigerator is freezing or thawing everthing you could have a blocked vent in the freezer section. Also have the repairman check the thermostat in your refrigerator. Could also be a blocked tube that needs to be unclogged. This happened to a brand new refrigerator that I had purchased. Hopefully this helps you out.

I also have a new side-by-side. 2 years old. The freezer keeps going out. My husband fixes large air conditioners so when the guy was out for the third time my husband told him what he thought was wrong. But Mr. know-it-all repairman wouldn't listen. So this will be the 4th time Sears has come out. I had just gone grocery shopping too. We have lost hundreds of $$ because the food spoiled. Sears does give you a couple of hundred dollars to replace the food, but that doesn't begin to cover what we lost. It really sucks not having a fridge. The guy isn't coming until Thursday and then he will say I have to order the part. I'm thinking about going to Sears and demanding a new fridge. The old green fridge I had years ago was so much better.

check the back for any ice if theres ice youre leaking freon.also might be the compressor if its not keeping stuff in the fridge cold or freezes everything.mine finally went after 2 yrs and it was bought used.(not a side by side) also could be the thermostat is shot.now adays its cheaper to buy a whole new fridge unless you know a repairman who workd cheap.also if its not kicking off or running for long periods of time then its the compressor.(also dimming of lights in the house) which can indicate the compressor.thats what mine did.also dust on the motor can cause problems.but if you see ice in the fridge it can be a blockage as some stated but with any of my fridges it always turned out to be the compressor.good luck though
