It went pretty good. They interviewed both my husband and myself and then took some shots of the doll and my kids playing.

They said this is the type of story that gets picked up in other areas of the country.

heres a link to the story on their website in case anyone is interested. They changed some details of the story however it was a gift for my 2 yr old annabella not my 3 yr old briana. I was going to give it to my 3 yr old to play with until I saw the thing.

I just watched the video, and I can't believe what that president said!

Earlier this month, the company's president told a Pittsburgh newspaper: "Unfortunately, it is the polluted mind of some adults who 'see sex' in everything. If you ask the kids - and we have - what do they think of Bratz, they will tell you they are beautiful, inspirational and multiethnic."

Sounds like to me he is the sicko! Who else in their right minds would put sexy see threw thongs on children's dolls?!!! I know for certain that thought would have never even crossed my mind.

I'm glad you stood up to them bribella, if people don't start standing up about things like this it's just going to keep getting worse. I can't believe my eye's and ears now about what is considered acceptable, I dread to see what things are going to be like for my grandchildren. :(

I think the company President is full of crap! If there is nothing wrong with them, then why are they taking steps to correct the underwear and offering to send out replacements? Also, I don't know about you, but in all my years of speaking with children, I have never in my life heard a small child use the terms "inspirational or multiethnic." Maybe a teenager, but not a child that would be of the age to play with these dolls. Those are his words, not the words of children that he has supposedly questioned.

Bribella, I've got to applaude you in your efforts. If my daughter's were younger and recieved this type of attire on a doll, I would feel the same way. Yes, the dolls are somewhat inspirational and they are multiethical, but that does not mean that they should be dressed like, or encourage the children to dress like, hoochies. They could easily have been dressed in full coverage panties and the same skirt and STILL have been just as appealling to the youngsters. Good for you!

Good going! We had a news story on our local news last night about this, too... I bought one for my 8 year old's birthday last Saturday - even she was shocked when she saw the thongs! I emailed the company, and they are sending a replacement to me, also.

I watched the story and I agree with you. That is absurd to put a doll in a thong.

On a side note, you have a beautiful family. :)

The company president is going to say whatever he has to to "cover his tush" but I would be willing to bet that those dolls will have full panties in the very near future. No company wants this type of bad publicity.

They had me become a member of thier site and then they wanted me to update my windows player and I still can't see the video.

As far as the Bratz spokesman. Yeah, I'm sure out kids bypass the sex part of the dolls and start talking like college students about how "beautiful, inspirational and multiethnic" the are. What does he take parents for, idiots? Don't answer that.
