I mean here now we the US are once again being TERRIBLY accused of doing horrific desecration to the "Quran" ....its tragic horrible etc etc...BUT what about those other countries and religious factors that desecrate MY HOLY WORD..MY BIBLES>...why is THAT not in the news????

ANd yes sometimes we do stick our noses in places...but we DO try to help and DO Help more than most any other country...

Seems some countries only approve of us when they are getting millions in aid, while people here in our own country are still without proper roofs and another hurricane season is just around the corner. Americans are always held to a higher standard than the rest of the world, while at the same time being called infidels, American scum, power mongers and all sorts of other names. People hate us for many reasons. We get blamed if we go help, we get scolded for not doing enough to help. We get blamed for everything under the sun. I even read a report on CNN today from Russia where we got blamed for a missing lake. A freakin missing lake.

We need to realize that no matter what we do, we will be denounced for it. We have become so politically correct that we actually care what the enemy thinks of us. Did the enemy care about the men they slaughtered, burned and hung in the streets of Iraq? Did they care about the prisoners they paraded on TV, beheaded and dumped in the streets? Did the enemy care when the purposely bombed innocent people waiting for work, shopping with their families or voting? No.

Yet, within a force of about 100,000 US troops on the ground in Iraq a minority of them violated the terms of the Geneva Convention (and are being prosecuted and convicted) and the world is outraged. Where are those same people expressing outrage at the Bible being torn in the streets, Christians being executed, death to Americans being shouted in streets? Silent. Can you imagine the uproar if tens of thousands of Americans went to the streets and shouted death to Muslims? So a Quran was flushed? So what?

I for one have ceased caring what the rest of the world thinks of me, and will not be shocked when that opinion of me and my capitalistic American money changes when they have a disaster that requires that money. I will no longer stare gape jawed at news reports that blow things out of proportion, fraudulantly report "attrocities" and generally give Americans a bad name even when these reports are from American News. I will I will no longer be stunned that the most generous, civilized and democratic nation in the world is scorned. Jealousy is one of the seven deadly sins after all. God blessed America, and the world is pissed. So what?

I look at it like this, these men are prisoners. They are being held for various reasons most of which has to deal with terrorism and their so called holy war. If tearing up the the Quran gets them talking so be it. If I were in their shoes, I would be upset but also realize that it is just a book, paper, etc. That means nothing.Poop on it, go ahead. I know what my bible says and I know what my God expects of me. It is kind of like in horror movies when they use the cross to fight vampires. It is not the cross that harms them but rather the faith that one has in it.

Was what I said uncalled for? Probably so. I just thought it funny that the one other time I've seen her over here posting other than asking for $ was to gripe about religion and the war. Most the time she's too stuck to another board to give a crap about this one.... then again so are 90% of the people who replied to my comment.

Oh and Renee if I'm not mistaken you're the one who wouldn't let me join your board. Because of something I said 6 months ago on another board. Gee and I'M mean. :rolleyes: You then wouldn't let my Mom join even though you e-mailed her the link. Guilty by assosiation right? That's bullcrap. Heartlvrs daughter screwed alot of people out of money but yet she's not held accountable for it. So how is my MOTHER responsible for what I (An 18 year old adult) said on a message board? You know, I'm really sick of the way most of the people here have their heads up someones butt. And the way I get treated like I'm a pariah. I've sent so many freaking cards to people's children on this board.. and you know what? My nephew got 2. And yeah I send the cards to make a kiddo smile so they'll feel special and somewhat adult that they got mail. But it really ticks me off that when it comes down to it that people would rather be jerks than to send a 3 year old a card.

You know I'd have to say that what you said, and some other people's quotes too, I find absolutely hilarious. If you don't care about how other countires feel about AMerica then that is your business. But you should care, for the soldiers sake.
These pictures cirulating in the Sun, and their holy book being flushed down the toilet should concern you..why? Because America can't pick and choose who to side with in a civil war. If that country falls apart further because our short sighted actions then it is our fault. We are supposed to be helping these people...instead they hold anti-America rallies in the streets. That puts our troops in danger. This is very serious crap...and you play it off like "what's the big deal?" It is a big deal..these people need to trust us if they don't the mission goes on longer and becomes more dificult. Condi has already stated that there will be an American presence until Iraq can stand for itself...how long is that; especially if there is a civil war.

True they have been holding ralies in the past. But this doesn't make it any better. These pictures were leaked by someone with in the military. Unfortunatly the bad things really have a large impact. Like I said , the troops are only put further in harms way.

Lets get things straight hon:
1. Typically I post all kind things here, freebies, fsot, Deals, etc...with me now working TWO jobs, clowning partime AND FUNDRAISING FOR MY THREE DAY/50 MILE WHICH BY THE WAY I AM PROUD OF...I dont have much time to post here or any other board for that matter.......If you will take the time to RESEARCH ME...I ran a stop smoking forum here as well as a Research thread FREE! WHen my schedule clears again I will be back to those as well! Anyone who knows me knows this is the truth...and yeah I do vent sometimes just like alot of other folks:) Including you and your rudeness I have also witnessed...

2. My daughter screwed folks? Interesting..nothing I really know about. Not to mention she is 26 yrs old and lives states away from me....Also she and I were just reunited after 23 years of separation...we still are getting to know each other.
