My 7 year old son and his Dad went to cub scout camp this weekend. Boy did they have to ruff it! LOL First it was 2 hours up there. Then they had to wait another hour to get checked in. Their "tent" was a deck sort of thing with a canvas over poles. They opened the flaps and it was full of those big jumping grasshopper spiders................YUCK
Half of the things they were supposed to do, they didnt have going on. He did learn to fish-he caught a stick and almost had a fish, but it broke his line and took off......He got to shoot arrows and bb guns. He didn't like the craft. They said supper was pretty good, but had to wait in line with 200 more people. We were told there would be concessions for lunch, but that was only chips and candy........some nutritional lunch, huh. That night, my son was ready to leave, but a few of the people in their campsite were having a camp fire, so he stayed. Burnt a few marshmallows......LOL They had pitched their tent inside the other tent and put everything in it and zipped it shut. That is how they slept. Next morning, they packed up and left.............They both got a partner-n-pal patch and my son got a t-shirt. He enjoyed some of it, but was bored for the most part.
Oh well.
As for me...........when I saw the spiders.......I would have been   and then outta there!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess it is Day camp for him! LOL
